  • Biography

    For as long as anyone can remember, the little goddess had worn the same expression upon her face, blank and cold. She rarely talked, and seemed to harbor no emotions. . . despite all of this, she was beautiful. Anybody who saw her would say that she was easily far more alluring than even an angel.

    But she was still a monster who couldn’t feel a thing. Anyone who had spent more than a few seconds in her presence would realize that. Anybody else who saw her would only see her from afar, and were blinded by who they thought she was, the identity that her parents had created for her.
    Her family despised her. Her brother worried constantly, having breakdowns occasionally, begging her to feel something. She would just stare at him with the same look as always. Her brother would cry; he knew what would happen to her if this continued.

    Devika was in line for the throne; she knew this, but she didn’t care. No, she couldn’t care. It wasn’t her fault. Her parents would allow her to attend formal events, but nothing would change. They had a plan for her; they would let her stay as long as possible, and if they couldn’t “fix” her by the time she was supposed to become queen, they would. . . “dispose” of her, as they called it.
    Eventually, no matter how hard they tried, the time came.
