Beaumont Devereux

Duke Beaumont "The Black" Devereux is the firstborn son of Emperor Maxime Devereux and Empress Anastasie Courbet. As crown prince of the United Empire of Ferissa he is accountable for a number of duties. Including but not limited to sitting on the grand council, making periodic appearances in court, and most importantly preparing for his eventual ascension to the throne. To this end, he was given dukedom over the small Duchy of Wynbarry and an estate to maintain there. So far he has done so to great success, boding well for his eventual rule.

To some members of the court, he is cold and calculating. To others, he is polite and withdrawn. But to all, he is a master at the game of power and favor played by the empire's elite. A worthy Apex amongst predators, second only to his father. He knows who to charm and whos arm he must twist to reach his goals. A nuanced dance so subtle and complex that even other masters of the game have trouble deciphering those goals even after they are done. Even amongst his many siblings, he is aloof. Close only to his sister, Flore Devereux, born four years his younger. Both of them have their mother's silver hair. Though Beaumont's sister was born with the dark eyes of their father while he has the nearly colorless faint pink gaze favored by the Courbet family, to which their mother once belonged.
