    • Age: Frozen in his early 20's. Although having lost count, still a comparatively young 80-something.

    • Gender: Cis Male
    • Sexuality: With family legacy being more of a manufactured affair, he has had time to openly indulge in all sins, finding a preference for men.
    • Height: 5'10
    • Build: Athletic, a surprising amount of strength hidden within.
    • Complexion: Characteristically paler than most mortals, but 'tan' compared to his kind.
    • Eye Colour: A strange yellow that glints on borderline gold.
    • Hair: A platinum blonde often slicked back out of the way and well kept.
    • Facial Hair: Has kept himself clean shaven for nearly 70 years.

  • History

    Abel's transformation was an accident by most accounts. A lower ranking vampire had become enamoured beyond a taste for blood and sought to gain a pet, breaking the rules placed by his superiors. Whilst they were punished, Abel himself was left an outcast, turned by a vampire with little social standing and with no house to claim him.
    It wasn't uncommon for most vampires to spend the first few decades experimenting with every sin and enjoying the benefits of unlife. Acutely aware of his position, however, Abel immediately sought to gain entry into the society he found himself in and to progress quickly - although that doesn't mean he didn't have his fun. Most houses were happy to have him working around their feet, he found that any sort of progression attached to a single house would be limited. It only took a couple of decades for him to discover being independent of a house could come with his advantages, allowing him to make broader connections that most his age. Whilst there still ladders left to climb, Abel has enough reputation to gain invitations to events considered exclusive. In the eyes of the heads of the houses and their underbosses, an indepent with a band of useful outcasts could be far more efficient in dealing with mortals and other houses when discretion is needed.

  • House Mammon

    Unable to ever truly enter one of the old houses, Abel found that many vampires of value could still be found at the fringes of his society. Run like a house, he commanded loyalty and discretion, rarely hesitating to enforce his leadership. However, most were wisely selected and trouble barely escalated beyond spats. He engineered his house to remain small, no more than 15 at most. It was imperative for the survival of the house to be viewed as a 'band of outcasts' to the larger houses; upstart houses had tried and failed many times with brutal consequences. In the presence of anyone other than members of House Mammon, the name of the house was strictly forbidden. Though this was hardly a challenge for it's members, almost all specialising in subterfuge, assassination and discretion.
    • Hobbies: Aside from a dramatic feeding, House politics never ceases to interest him. Pettiness is not just a mortal trait.
    • Addictions: Brutal and sudden feedings are vulgar to Abel. Not a traditional addiction, he still finds himself almost unable to feed without interacting with and lulling his victim first.
    • Fears: Physical fears have long since disappeared. However, dying with unknown and without legacy makes his cold heart drop.

  • Clothing

    When schmoozing and plotting is called for, Abel prefers to mimic the clothing of the older houses. Although modern, they hold influences from their history with archaic patterns or an occasional upturned collar. The finery gave him confidence in social situations where some may seem him as out of place.
    On the job required mortal where to blend him in as much as possible. Whilst still keeping a small degree of luxury and refinery, modern textiles were a must. Often wearing clothing that can conceal weaponry, where most vampires prefer to stick to teeth and claw, he was never so old fashioned to ignore the benefits of having a pistol.

  • Personality

    Abel does go some way to fulfilling the stereotype of a dry and manipulative undead. He plays with his prey with a level of sarcasm that satisfies him greatly. This moves beyond feeding and into his machinations amongst the houses, remaining level headed and ensuring his survival when almost permanently surrounded by the most powerful and deadly members of his species.
    Known only to the closest members of House Mammon, there still is some decree of 'humanity' left within Abel that has yet to die out with age. Formed from outcasts, and with a deep understanding of being one himself, he feels fiercely protective over members of his house going as far as having risked his reputation on occasion to save a member.
    Abel holds a slight contempt for hunters. Although they can be useful tools to send anonymous tips to, a few close run ins and some lost members of the House make it difficult for his perspective to remain neutral. In truth, he views them as lesser beings, violent and jealous like petulant children, seeking to take life and power away that they do not understand.
