Nomad

Nomad is a Native American man who was sent on a spirit journey in 1742, only to never return in mind body or spirit. For what has seemed like an eternity to him he has been spiraling between time and dimensions, trying to find answers as to what his purpose is, being left to believe he is destined to be a Spirit God but also not at all knowing what that really means. He has been stuck in this way for over a thousand years, endlessly going from one world to the next, hoping he will be able to find the way to break free

This profile is a work in progress, and is rather rough around the edges at the moment, when I have time I will spend it refining the character profile a bit to be more presentable

Often, is it easy to wonder how far the rabbit hole goes when it comes to the expanse of our universe, and the worlds that are miles beyond our grasp. But never would anyone expect to see it.

For Wondering Hawk, a former member of the Owkata tribe, that is precisely what happened. He had reached the age of 20 and was marked to be a warrior by his father, the Chief. Soon he too would be the Chief and carry their traditions, and as all these responsibilities would soon weigh on his shoulders, it was expected of him to embark on a spiritual journey.

For three days, he was to be encased inside of a cave, taking a plant that they considered a gateway to the spirit world each of these days. On the first day, he would find the purpose of fighting, on the second, the value of self-worth, and the third, the meaning of life, and the gift of rebirth. For the first two days, he took the plant, but all he could see was a dark void inside of the cavern. He was worried that he was being rejected by the spirits, and was not meant for any of this.

But then the third day came, and his life as it were would be over.

He decided not to take the plant. He reasoned with himself that it just was not working on him. But as time stretched on he looked ahead, and to his surprise there was this grand archway that opened into some cloud-like heaven, full of all kinds of all kinds colors swirling through the sky all centered around a bright and shining sun. The wind blew from the portal, sweeping back his hair and cooling his face, and his body was overwhelmed with bliss.

Right before his eyes, a giant hawk flew with feathers full of bountiful colors flew through the sky and perched just before him. The hawk began to speak. "You can see me." Its beak did not at all move but his words still echoed through his mind

"I-I can." Wondering Hawk responded with lump in his throat. His eyes where wide and his hands involuntarily shook at this otherworldly being speaking to him.

"Many have entered here, all left with lies and delusions. Only can you see me. The spirit to succeed me."

"I...don't understand what you mean mighty spirit. All have come into this cave and seen you."

"All have come into this cave and taken plants that give them false visions. You are witnessing the true essence of the world. I expect you to not understand. You still have much to learn...your time, this place, is one of an infinite number of realms. The endless sea of life and soul is what we call the Alehmier. And I am one of Alehmier's guardian spirits. They call me a Guide. I encompass the knowledge of every walk of life. I travel to every world and time and offer my guiding hand to those in need of wisdom and guidance. My home lies in the lost souls who hunger for enlightenment. I am a Nomad, a Wanderer, a Guiding hand. And soon, you will be all of this and more.

"I am...confused. These worlds and times you speak of. All of it...I don't understand."

"You do not have to understand, just know that I have chosen you. You have much to learn, but time is of no issue. One of these days I will fade away, and must have someone to replace me. And when that time comes you could be ready to take up the mantle. All I ask is for you to say yes to my offer."

Wandering Hawk stared at him in amazement. He had no idea what made him so worthy of such a task, but through his trembling lips the only word that could escape him was simply, "...yes."

And from that day forward, there was no Wondering Hawk, all existence of his physical form where vanished from existence as if he was never there, not even his own father has even forgot him.

For thousands of years now, he has gone by the name Nomad, though honestly, he has no name. He had been wandering aimlessly from all points in time in every world and every dimension, finding portals to the next stop on his journey. He has had little guidance to help him, and he is afraid that it may be like this for millions of years until he has finally reached the point that he can become a spirit.

Until then all he can do is keep going further
