Lawrence A. Ward

An established lawyer, Mr. Ward founded the Devil's Advocates law firm shortly after the war ended. His intention was to provide legal representation for those who, in the eyes of the public, were indefensible. He firmly believed in every mans right to a lawyer, and felt many were under represented due to lack of funds or lack of support. His mantra was to represent anyone, regardless of their accused crime, background, or demeanor, to the best of his ability.

In 1918, shortly after founding his law firm, he learned about an organization that was attacking people, claiming that these people were demons or witches, even representing several members who were tried for murder. These clients told him about their belief in magic and the supernatural, and how myths walk among us. Little did they know, across the table from his was one of those very myths. As such, he has decided to use his resources and legal expertise to help hide, transport, or protect supernatural beings from these violent terrorists.
