Background: Akemi was born in Carpathia, Romania. However, at a young age she was taken to the orphanage along with many other children under orders from the dictator. When the dictator was assassinated however, the orphamages could no longer keep the children causing closures and the children being left. Akemi was among the few who was picked up by the mafia and other underground crimes enduring many variations of abuse. Once she was 16, she escaped from the mafia having killed them with her newly discovered quirk at the time, Mirror.
To begin a new life, she went to Musutafu, Japan to apply for UA. Striving to become a hero and to help many people.
