She is slow to trust, often defensive, cold, and calculating with strangers. Lies come easily to her tongue when necessary, though she rarely does it out of malicious intent. Once her trust is earned, her more playful and loyal nature makes itself known. Her loyalty to her friends is often unshakable. Miriela has a sharp mind, and she is often her most thoughtful and placid when left to her own devices. Despite an apparent adaptability, Miriela has a stubborn streak that makes her unwilling to bend when pushed too far. Miriela is tight lipped about her past, but what little she will tell is this...

She was born and raised in a small desert village. Her mother died in an accident when she was young. In her teenage years, when the King declared a hunt for magic users, she was forced to flee her home with nothing but the clothes on her back, a horse, and a long knife. For some years, she wandered alone, focused entirely on evading capture and survival.

Eventually, she became an adult and sought to make a life for herself... and to embrace the magic she'd been hunted for. It was part of her, and she would never let anyone take it from her.
