Clarissa Lucard

Clarissa stands proud with a muscular stance and relatively androgynous features. She has vivid ginger hair that reaches down to the middle of her back, with a long fringe that she favours on her right side in a large flipped-over style. If she needs to focus, she'll tie it up into a loose top bun or ponytail. Will sometimes wear her hair completely short. Her ears are slightly pointed, has soft berry blue eyes, and she sports a multitude of freckles over her body.

Clarissa was made when a demon interfered with the union of her parents to see how successfully it could merge the parents' vampiric and demon-coded genomes to create the future perfect bounty hunter. As it was the first experiment, it wasn't only the subspecies that merged; Clarissa ended up quite chimeric in body, too. Her scent and sex were confusing - mixed, yet simultaneously separate halves at odds with each other. As a baby, she appeared male, but there was an undeniable female scent swirling with the male one. So Clarissa was raised neutrally as 'Jasper' until she chose her own path.
(So, she is intersex. She is not hermaphroditic; she only has one set of functioning gonads.)

Ultimately, Clarissa realised she was more a girl than anything else. So, she chose the name 'Clarissa' for herself. But she still liked the name 'Jasper' and wanted to keep and honour what her parents had given her, so she kept it as her middle name.

Clarissa is genderfluid (with a fem predominance), so sometimes she may go by her middle name 'Jasper' depending on how she feels (meaning, neutral or masc pronouns), but she will completely let someone call her that regardless. Perhaps, as a nickname (regardless of gender), she'll allow 'CJ', although she can be a bit picky on who she lets call her that.

She may also (very rarely) go by 'Viridian', named after the colour of her fire, as she figures out more of her identity that can't be described with standard pronouns. She has yet to figure out which neopronoun matches this.

Though she struggled with it as a child, Clarissa now has no qualms with her genitalia even when fem presenting, but when she is feeling neutral or masc, she may use a charmed item that provides a glamour of a flat chest (+/- neutrois genitalia. She may just tuck for this if she deliberately wants people to be more so confused about her current gender or if she does genuinely feel like being more neutrois than indifferent about it. Or she may not tuck at all. Up to her how she feels at the time). The charmed item is a black industrial bar piercing with a plain infinity symbol in the middle of it.

Her voice is sort of deep and bordering androgynous, but with a feminine lean. Very slightly gruff.

Physical

• Great attacker.
• Good enough defender.
• Strong, sturdy.
• Fairly slow, certainly for someone with vampiric abilities.
• Doesn't need to hide from the sun, and always feels cool even in blistering weather. However, she does feel the cold more acutely.

Magical

• Heals very quickly unless she is attacked with magical ice. Those wounds will take much longer to heal and are much more likely to leave her ill compared to another vampire or even a human. Being impaled with ice through the chest is an emergency situation, even for a vampire.
• Uses a fire bow as her main weapon that she draws out from magical tattoos, but she also has other tattoos at her disposal.
• She can also utilise fire without the need for a conduit (e.g. a weapon or incantations), but she's still learning to use and learning to control it.
• Is completely fire resistant. That was a harsh learning curve for her parents to discover when she was a baby.
