    Thomasina's sister is the far more lady like of the two siblings. Margaret still goes along with some of her sister's eccentric behaviors, but she prefers dresses and is always chiding her sibling over her unseemly ways.

    She sat on a wicker chair feet resting on the table edge, one knee bent. She was in only her bloomers and a a short chemise. She twisted the dark locks of her hair between the fingers of her right hand as she suffered through the portrait sitting. Her other hand pinned a quartet of kittens to her flat chest and now and then she'd pet them and whisper words of comfort to the little mewing things - for they did not enjoying have to sit still any more than she herself did.

    Thomasina enjoys being subversive. She is not one for romance, but understands that she's expected to marry and have children as is her sister. She has little interest in marriage, but has no issue with becoming a mother at some point if she can arrange it so she doesn't loose her freedom to do as she pleases. An open marriage might be possible if the man is agreeable as a person and doesn't ask too much of her as a wife.

    26 yr old Eccentric Spinster at the Debutante Ball

    It is the season when the dresses come out and the hair must be piled high in the latest fashion in hopes of catching a gentleman's eye - the season for the debutante balls. All the young ladies of wealth and influence will be presented and their families will be along for the spectacle. Margaret has been through five balls now and thinks herself very knowledgeable about these things. The blonde is twenty and getting on in years so some say. Her sister Thomasina is also in attendance, at twenty-six she's considered past her prime and already an old spinster. Thomasina doesn't care as she leans her back against a support pillar on the balcony while scarfing down 'oeuvres and keeping a close eye on her younger sister through the crowd. The woman has chose to attend in dressed as a man in all the usual male finery with waistcoat and top hat to complete the look. It is just a bit of fun for her and an extra deterrent to keep people at bay. She has long gotten used to people ignoring her at these events as she is far beyond the age men are looking for at these things and the women have stopped trying to make her conform and gossip openly about her and her outrageous eccentric behavior.
