Typical Wardrobe: Oliver prefers practical and comfortable, loose-fitting clothes and he doesn't get too worked up having the latest fashion. Brown trousers and an off-white shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows is common. He sometimes wears a hat just to keep the sun or the rain out of his eyes, but it's nearly as common to see his mop of brown hair.

He has an appetite for adventure, enjoys novel experiences and may sometimes engage in thrill-seeking behavior. Born June 8, 1861 to Gertrude and Abraham White in Ohio. However, Oliver has no early memories of his father. He left to fight for the Union in 1862 and did not return following the war (officially MIA). Not the type to wilt under pressure, Ollie's mother took up journalism and moved the pair to Red Rock, Wyoming in 1869 where she became the editor of the Red Rock Tribune. Though they only remained in Wyoming for a year, it left a lasting impression on him. He made his first best friend, was involved in an attempted stagecoach robbery, and gained two adopted siblings: Thomas and Elizabeth Coloski (later Thomas and Elizabeth White).

Late in 1870, the family moved to Kansas to be part of a railroad construction project, living out of two large tents for nearly three years while the railroad built all the way to New Mexico. During this time, Ollie learned to ride a horse, drive a two-mule wagon, continued his schooling to the best of his mother's ability, and generally enjoyed the adventure of life on the move. His life also had another drastic change at this time: his father, long presumed dead, reunited with the family. Despite some objections from his mother, his father thought it was well past time to teach the boys to shoot. Rifles, shotguns, and pistols. Though it would still be another few years before she relented enough to permit him to have his own gun.

After the end of the rail project, the family moved to Austin and finally settled into an actual house. A new baby sister was shortly added to the growing White family.

As Ollie moves into his teenage years, he keeps his love for adventure and seeing new things. Staying in one place feels restricting.

When he sees a flyer looking for men to help drive cattle to a Red Rock, Wyoming, he just can't help but sign up.
