Ilene is a generally nice person and cares highly about the well-being of everyone living in her kingdom. She is not the one to turn away when she sees injustice or bad treatment of anyone, even if the victim was a beggar. She has high morals which she would never intentionally jeopardize.
She had killed and injured people before and even if it was necessary, she has never forgiven herself and feels immense guilt because even if the men were part of the enemy army, they still had families waiting for them back home. She tries to use words to get out of any bad situation, she uses battle as a last option and tries to avoid it at all cost. She is very educated and knows many things but she can't do anything basic or even cook her own meals since she was nurtured from birth.
Her father was a warrior as much as a king and wanted her to study the art of sword fighting but she hated the training and can only defend herself to avoid being killed, she is no warrior, though she has her magic to protect her. Many people underestimate her because she is a young female queen but she is quite intelligent. She is a great improviser and quick-witted.
Others know she has some kind of weapon in her kingdom but what they don't know is that it's actually her. She is a mage. This makes other people wary of her. She has a curious spirit and always enjoys a good story. When she sets a goal for herself, she always achieves it. She is very determined. Sometimes she has doubts and lack self-confidence, especially when it comes to big decisions, but she doesn't let people see this.
She has to appear strong for she is the queen.
She is beautiful and many men have fallen for her, but she isn't just looks. She is pretty and capable, bold and doesn't fear standing up for herself and what she feels is right. She is under a lot of pressure as a queen but she tries to remain optimistic, even though she is more of a realist. When her family was murdered, she got quite depressed and since then she tries to avoid ever feeling the same way. She is fair and just, punishing people is no problem for her if they are indeed guilty of a crime. She sees the world for what it is and tries to survive even if many people want to see her dead because of her power, success and popularity among her people.
