Ned Fleming

With a head that reflects all light Ned stands over nine feet tall. His skin is a darker shade of green than most other Super Mutants like him. His face always sports a smile that emphasizes his large & wide cheek bones. The one bit of hair remaining on his body is a large well kept mustache which he takes great pride in. In contrast to his dark green skin his dark blue eyes stand out even more than they did when he was human. His body is heavily muscular much like other super mutants. However he is much more lean, lacking much body fat. This is from a combination of his religious fasts, hobbies, & employment. While normally covered, numerous scars litter his body. Most of them are from his time in the Masters Army. But During his time in the wastes he earned many more. Most notable is that half his left ear is missing. Along with his right arm, neck, & part of his chest being covered in burn scars. One thing of note is he always wears a wooden cross around his neck. The giant is extremely charitable to those who have little in life. But his charity has its limits. This is often seen in his work as a Bounty Hunter. He will try to work with the bounties he finds should they surrender. However if they resist, run, or put innocent bystanders at risk he loses all notions of kindness.

Ned is a huge history buff and is fascinated by the old world. Always trying to learn more about the history of the world, he can be found often with a book in hand. In the mornings he can be seen running to & from his gym. Due to his time working at the Ren Faire he got into the sport of Buhurt. Every Saturday he can be found fighting with his friends that make up the small club. Aside from his studies, training, exercise, & sport, Ned often spends his free time helping the less fortunate. Though he can often be heard singing when he thinks he is alone.

Lefty: The Characters dominant side is their left. This means for wielding or aiming weapons they must use their left hand & eye. Failure to do so results in a penalty for using their off-hand.

Perks

Commanding Presence: The character has a means of radiating a calming or terrifying feeling to others depending on their mood or intentions. When in combat the player can as a free action roll a Speech check to bolster allies, or dismay enemies. The player must make a DC 51 Speech Check to activate the ability. Only one of the following effects can be active at a time. The active effect lasts a number of turns equal to half the player's Charisma stat, rounded up. Any active effects are ended early if the player rolls to activate another effect.

- Inspire Greatness: Allies critical success range is doubled. Their success threshold for attack & skill rolls is increased by 10.

- Fortify & Overcome: Allies gain a Temporary +1 boost to their Endurance stat. They also reduce the effects of any damage sustained for the duration of the effect.

- Vicious Intimidation: Enemies must make a contested Intelligence check against the players speech check. If the number is lower the fail and must flee from the player if able. If higher then the enemy must focus on attacking the player. Or the enemy suffers a -10 penalty to attack rolls against other targets.

- Shatter Resolve: Enemy's critical success range is reduced by half. Their success threshold for attack & skill rolls is decreased by 10.


Flaws

Pyrophobia: The primal fear of fire is stronger than normal in the player. They are nervous or uneasy around fire in their daily life. In combat when incendiary weapons or ammo is used the player must make an DC 60 Endurance roll each turn. If successful the player steels themselves against their fear. If they fail the roll they take a -10 to attack & skill rolls. Once far enough from, the fire is extinguished, or the player rolls a crit the player may stop rolling.

Four Eyes: Due to either damage or genetic issues the characters eye sight is diminished. Without either eye glasses or contact lenses the player suffers a -5 to perception based rolls. If they are wearing their corrective lenses this penalty is negated.

Hulking: When using equipment not made for their enhanced size & strength the character can break it. Each turn they use the object in question the character must make a DC 60 Str save or destroy the item.

Protective Instincts: Due to his moral & religious code the character is extremely protective of others. When allies or innocent bystanders are in serious danger the character puts themselves in the danger zone. Either drawing attention towards themselves, or getting in between the enemy & their target.
