Alaric Ortiz

Born in 1989 in Oaxaca, Mexico to Leandro and Charlotte Ortiz-Carlton, he lived a pretty good life. His family wasn't rich but they also weren't poor. They moved to New York City when Alaric was 3 years old, settling into a nice suburban home.

At around 17, Alaric started getting more rebellious. He would dive into alcohol and smoking, sneaking out in the middle of the night to purchase these things with a fake ID. His parents found out when he was 18 and kicked him out, not allowing him back unless he got a steady job.

Because of this, he would hop from woman to woman, "dating" them for a place to stay. His only real relationship in this time frame was an older woman named Emma. He stayed with her for one year before she started to serially cheat on him for another year, one instance he caught. After this instance, he would drive off and get drunk at a bar. His head wasn't rational so he got back into his car, attempting to drive to his parents house, when he fatally crashed.

Upon death, he entered Hell. He was sat in front of Satan, who seemed delighted to see him. They said that Alaric was the descendent of the last overlord of Greed they had been waiting for. Alaric tried his best to reject this, being only 20 and not wanting all this responsibility. It was forced on him anyway.

After a year of being overlord, he begged Satan to let him roam Earth again. They obliged. Alaric would move to La Bande Étoilée and start up a software company, starting small at first but over the years making his way up in profits. When he was 25, he met a woman named Marybeth, who was honestly just calling to complain about his ads.

They met at a fancy restaurant to talk it over, and this date turned into two dates, and then three dates, and they were both head over heels for each other. They got married after 2 years of dating and after 1 year had a daughter named Eliza.

Now he only monthly does overlord duties, his main priority being his family.
