Aoi Takemichi

Backstory

She was born into the righteous Takemichi clan, a name that held worth and respect in the streets of Kyoto. They were a family that built their way up to the top, now worth millions if you combine their incomes. Her mother and father originated in Japan before moving to France with Aoi and her siblings. Aoi held the title of youngest, being praised by her mother and father. Her siblings, on the other hand, weren’t so prosperous in the eyes of their parents. They grew tired of the favoritism and began acting harshly to Aoi.
They’d degrade her endlessly and speak curses upon her, even going as far as to physically hurt her when their parents were out working or weren’t looking. Aoi never told their parents from fear, and despite the hatred towards her, she still loved her siblings dearly. But one day, both her brother and sister were caught in the act of harassing her, and she witnessed her mother and father beat her two siblings until they were bloody and bruised. Her heart broke into two at the sight and despite her efforts in trying to pull her parents off of them, they still ended up with severe injuries.
After that day, the two children flat-out refused to talk to or acknowledge Aoi’s existence, not at school nor at home. People at school caught wind of her siblings' severe beating and blamed Aoi for their pain. In return, students began bullying her any and every time they could. They harassed her in the bathrooms, banged her head against counters, even cut her hair while she watched them.
She felt like she deserved that treatment since she was the cause of her brother and sisters pain and endured it, all the way until her parents caught wind of it. She was immediately pulled out of school and began homeschooling instead.
The isolation both relieved her and made her incredibly depressed, yet she still stayed hopeful. She wanted to believe that her siblings and friends would eventually like her again and they could live happily ever after, but unfortunately, that never happened. Her brother and sister went off to college and left her there, never calling or contacting her after the fact.
After rigorous homeschooling, she worked up the courage to apply to U.A., and miraculously, she made it in!

Aoi Takemichi is the light of her class in U.A., both metaphorically and literally. Her quirk is Color Pop! When looking at you directly in the eye, she manipulates the heat waves in your body and blinds you with a flash of color for 30 seconds to a minute.
She’s a spunky, confident girl who lives out her days as a student as a social butterfly. There’s not a friend she can’t make, and not a person she won’t cheer up. She’s rarely seen without a smile on her face and her goal is to make sure everyone else smiles as well!
Sometimes she can be a little gullible, so she can be easily tricked by other people. Her niceness can be misconstrued as weakness quite easily, so she ends up getting hurt by a lot of people.
