    • meaning: badly translated 'white hands' in japanese
    • reason: it is unsure. he believes he was named by someone else but doesn't remember who or why.

    • subspecies: some sort of domestic hound

    • weight: approximately 270 lbs // 122 kg
    • complexion: tanned skin with a small amount of freckling, especially on cheeks, typically showing dark rings around his eyes. some small scars scattered around both chest and back.
    • fur: thick and white, merging seamlessly into his hair at the back of his neck, climbing over his shoulders like a shawl and fully cloaking both arms. it continues in a ridge down his back to fully coat the lengthy tail and the majority of his legs starting at the lower thigh.
    • hair: typically kept medium length and fairly messy. loose curls. stark white in color and sometimes styled in a ponytail.
    • build: confusing to look at. his face and body have the gaunt look of someone who eats poorly and does not excersize, but his shoulders and too-long arms are thick with muscle. lower half, while still muscular, is a bit disproportionately lean
    • eyes: a medium silver
    • intelligence: educated, though his memory is poor and there are often weird gaps in his knowledge base
    • voice: quiet, low, and somewhat husky
    • clothing: most often a cloak that hides most of his body with just enough space to see out of. when dressing more casually, simplified victorian styles are most common - waistcoats, slacks, neckties, layers, though many clothes have sleeves removed so his arms can fit
    • personality: solemn and unhappy. he is quiet but not quite shy, as if waiting only to speak when his words have value. he is reserved but overall tries his best to be a decent person, however that may be defined in the moment
    • defenses: powerful arms equipped with oversized, sharp claws; while teeth are still mostly humanoid they are quite obviously sharper than natural teeth; feet also have claws
    • frailties: the topheavy build over time has caused constant pain in his back, hips, and knees. while capable of walking unassisted, he tends to keep such voyages short where possible and will frequent sit or lay to ease the pressure. due to the nature of his hands actions requiring fine dexterity can be problematic
    • accessories: very rarely seen without his axillary crutch. while a good eye would be able to tell its probably expensive, its carved from a smooth-grained wood that is dark in color with a silver cap at the top and a leather padded cushion for the part that goes under his arm.

  • --physiology--

    sight :: he can see decently well, even in low light, but his vision is blurrier than a human's and he sees in a blue-yellow spectrum. this makes his world appear brighter, but less detailed, and of course blind to shades of red. very sensitive to perceiving things currently in motion but liable to miss something frozen still if he didn't detect it by other means.
    scent :: significantly better than a human's, but not as good as a standard canine.
    taste :: poor. food is usually chosen by its smell as priority. despite this, he can be a picky eater.
    hearing :: very keen. he would easily be able to tell a guest is arriving even if they are still a few houses down, on foot.

    --due to faulty and adulterated magics at work within him, the effects of new magic upon him are significantly reduced, and for whatever reason tend to result in equal pain for both himself and the magic user.
    --while easy to confuse for turning into a normal dog, it is to be remembered he was deemed at one point a monster, and while his mind has forgotten this, his body has not. he should be treated as a dangerous thing in an unknown situation
    --that said just looking at him it is more than obvious he is a being fully capable of extreme violence if pressed. however, as he spends most of his time resisting the dark impulses his magically induced instincts have pressed into him, it isn't known if this has ever been enacted

  • echoes of history

    in the past, he knows he did a terrible thing and that is how he became what he is - a monster by heart becomes a monster by shape as an act of punishment. the wild magics at play however went wrong, killing the spellcaster and corrupting the spell - rather than turn fully into a thoughtless quadrupedal dog, significant swathes of his memory was wiped, his personality initially simplified, and no changes were made aside from a strange fuzziness of his vision.

    it took years before it became realized that he was still transforming, but very slowly. initially, it was easy to merge with society but as the years passed so too did the mark of his unknown shame grow stronger. now he is a vagrant poet who wanders place to place keeping to himself but also trying to decide what to do with his lot in life. while technically not wealthy he still somewhat has the bearing of an aristocrat.

    he knows he had a wife, and that she is deceased, and this was very likely from an illness and was significantly before his crime.
    he knows he was personable and had many connections and friends, but they are a world away and he could tell you neither name nor face.
    he knows he was a bard with an affinity for banjo playing, and he was quite good at it.
    he knows he also wove elegant tapestries, which were then sold at high price, and he accrued a lot of wealth from this profession.
    and he knows he has no access to any of these skills any longer.

    • rules: lets have fun. thats it! not too interested in drama or ooc nonsense. i play all situations as no-consent by default but try to write my actions as "respond-able", so if you don't want something to happen you can always write your character as avoiding it. that said, please return the favor and make sure i have SOME agency in scenes!
    • please don't: try to cure him, as the character was designed as is for a reason; restrict who i RP with - just because you have beef with someone does not mean i do and i will happily rp almost anything with anyone, outside of feral or underaged nsfw of course.
    • and also: while i don't care too much about the length of your post please note if i am on this character i am not actively playing any others. you are my full focus. please keep responses at least a little timely as i don't have all the time in the world
    • seeking: friends. he is by nature a very lonesome, solemn character and opening him up a bit would be nice. they do not need to be a nice character.. adversaries and / or corruption can also be fun! this is a character i made when i was like 11 before i even knew about furc. he is heavily modernized but has a well developed core!
    • seeking also: a personal assistant. in his culture this would typically be a male character but he isn't against looking into women as well. doesn't necessarily have to be a slave, but he'd be looking for someone with clean penmanship for scribe work and willingness to assist with menial tasks. He is unwilling to look at slaves who are untrained / aggressive ect, though it doesn't have to be a harem pen candidate ( ooc :: this role could potentially be more involved in the future of course )
    • -: not all scenes need to revolve around that concept and not every rp is headed towards that goal of course. feel free to hit me up with ideas of your own!
    • -: that said, i personally don't like to pre-plan TOO much. i am a 'wing it' / reactionary style roleplayer and find pre-planning TOO much kind of ruins the point of writing out the scene in the first place. typically i will have some idea of where i want to go and potentially how to start the scene but from there i let my character's whimsy take the wheel
