  • Personality

    Zara tends to come off as passive, almost aloof, to people he's just meeting. Mostly, this is just because he's always tired, both mentally and physically, though he is standoffish towards strangers. He'll be passive-aggressive, non serious and sarcastic. These are mostly a result of his upbringing. Having grown up on the streets, he's learned not to trust people outright and be ready for the unexpected. He's very good at reading people, but ingrained paranoia and skepticism make him question whether or not he's actually reading them right. Should you get to know him to the point of him calling you a friend, these traits will of course still be there, but he'll be much more trusting and open with you. Able to show more vulnerability. Another thing that is a result of his life on the streets is that he's very food motivated, especially if that food is some sort of dessert or pastry. He isn't shy by any means, but he also doesn't go out of his way to meet new people or make friends. He's not against the idea, but he doesn't bother. He feels that the more people he has in his life that matter to him, the more people he has to worry about, and he'd rather have less to worry about. Zara also loves to learn about many things, and learns them quickly. If something catches his interest, he'll spend the next few days learning everything he possible can about it. He can adapt well to most situations, another thing he can thank the streets for. He doesn't easily, if at all, bend to peer pressure, and trying to talk him into something will most likely make him even more stubborn about not doing it. It's very rare that Zara truly hates somebody, but when he does, you'd better hope that he's not alone with that person. Even he's afraid of what he might do, and he doesn't want to become that person.

  • Physical Description

    Zara isn't particularly tall or short, standing at about 5'9. He has a perpetual look of tiredness, as though he's not getting enough sleep. And, well, he's not. He tries, though. His hair, which is short and usually a bit of a mess, is a deep black. His eyes are a matching shade, the pupil almost blending into the iris. His skin is quite pale with little freckles or marks, aside from a beauty spot above the left side of his mouth, and a few tiny burn scars that dot across his body. He's got little muscle and is a bit on the tinner side, as he's not much of a physical fighter. He can sometimes look fairly androgenous, given the structure of his face, especially if he were to grow out his hair.

  • Abilities - Skills

    There are many kinds of magic where Zara comes from, but there's one in particular that's different from the rest in the fact that it's genetic. Zara has this magic. This magic has to do with the mind, with memory. He doesn't often use it, as he usually sees it as invasive for many reasons. It grants him many abilities, such as reading someone's mind and also being able to project his own thoughts into theirs, allowing for fully private conversations. He's also able to see peoples memories, as well as erase these memories should he so wish, or even implement false memories. Though this doesn't stop at mental memory. It is also able to effect muscle memory. He can make somebodies body simply forget. How to move. How to breathe. It also gives him perfect memory. He only needs to see or hear something once, and he'll never forget it. Very useful for learning things, but quite unfortunate where trauma is involved. His magic is cast via the eyes, and requires a visual on the person when he uses it. For simply reading minds or projecting thoughts, the very center of his pupils will light up with a white light. For memory related things, the entire pupil will be lit by this same light. Then there's his ability to enter into ones mind scape, the inner most recesses of ones mind, which will light up the whole eye. As mentioned, Zara doesn't often use it on people, and it shouldn't effect rp much. I'll also only have him use it if you're ok with it, but it is not something I am willing to nerf or remove, as it is a big part of his character.

    Zara makes jewelry for a living, and is quite good at it. He enjoys the creativity paired with the methodical assembly of the pieces. He's also very knowledgeable when it comes to foraging, and has good survival instinct. He's not particularly skilled in fighting, though he doesn't really need to be, given his magic. He learns quickly, both due to his magic and his own intelligence.
