    A myconid hailing from a community in the Underdark, also known as fungus folk. An elder within their circle, taking on a leadership role and guiding a younger generation towards the benefits of exploring the world, learning and understanding it as it is now. They are highly curious for their species and experience a pull for knowledge that they find difficult to describe and relate back to their circle. By comparison, Aurelian has a higher focus on the future than is common for myconids.

    They are a creature of habit, following a strict routine in their day to day life within the circle. Eight hours of working as an explorer and hunter, eight hours of melding with their circle, and eight hours of rest.

    Their working routine involves leaving the Underdark and learning more about the world above. While wary of the violent nature of other species, they behave in a docile manner, are almost overly compassionate and utilize various spores to manipulate the behaviors of those around them, usually to deescalate conflicts and ensure a safe getaway. Aurelian believes it's vitally important for their community to better understand other species in order to continue thriving, although not every circle in their community agrees with this narrative and considers it a waste of time and potentially dangerous.

    Part of their duties involve the collection of corpses, myconid or otherwise, so they may be repurposed to fertilizer and aid the community's agricultural efforts.
