  Tall, lithe built huntress; creamy, light tan; large eyes in a mostly-European-face; color of hair and eyes ranging from milk chocolate to storm-soaked summer woods

• Biography

  Joan was made as part of a group meant to study humans and Earth. Several centuries ago (when she was physically ~12) she traveled without her sisters to a planet that at the time was occupied by Suli. Sumineya captured and imprisoned her for him. They eventually tired of trying to convert her and made a clone, but the clone looked very different from Joan and they thought it was an imperfect copy. When they attempted to destroy the child Joan fought in complete dragon form to protect her, not unlike a tigress protecting her cub when they'd been cornered in her den. Finally, Sumineya offered the child's safety in exchange for Joan's service. After receiving a promise that Joan was to be the one to raise the girl, she agreed. She went on missions for Suli (refusing to wear her father's seal as she did so: that would have been an even worse betrayal in her eyes) at least until they holed up on Earth, raising the girl she named Luna, and (after they moved to earth) filling her lab (she'd been made the chief medical officer) with books and every relic she could find on Earth that Suli did not claim. She raised her daughter on the lore of Man, until they made an escape attempt (to counsel with those who were meant to destroy Suli). She had turned dragon to divert Sumineya's attention from Luna, and was shot out of the sky. When she awoke she had soot on her scales, her medallion (what her clothes turned into when she changed into a dragon) was missing, and she had been dumped in the junkyard. Using small animal forms to spy, she discovered that Luna had escaped a few days later, taking several treasures with her, and that everyone assumed that Joan was dead. Joan continued to live out of the junkyard, only occasionally daring to sneak into her lab (as a mouse or some such), until Craazii found her...
