• Description

  At 5'0", she's not much to look at, lacking the brutal physical strength that a templar might use to reinforce her authority. As petite and frail as she looks, there has to be something to back up that arrogance, and indeed, she's a warlock- a defiler, to be exact.
  
  Despite being rather small and slender, she has curves- a heavy, rounded bottom and maternal breasts.
  
  Her skin is a shade of cool brown so dark it's almost completely black. She has a broad, flat, downturned nose, full, cherubic lips, and softly defined features. Her eyes are long, keen, and subtly slanted, a startling pale blue against the darkness of her face. Her hair is thick and curly, about chin length, with bangs, and white blonde in color. She has a distinctly untrustworthy grin, baring teeth that are somewhat abnormally pointy for a human, but not enough to make people suspicious. Slash-like scars line her arms, and her hands bear slightly knobby knuckles, with fingernails cut down to the quick, almost.
  
  She wears the plain, tattered brown clothes of a slave, including breast band, loin cloth, and breach clouts, with leather armor and boots over it.

• Biography

  It all began with a twinkle in a templar's eye when he laid eyes on the beautiful, dark skinned thief Jianna as she fished five bits out of someone's pocket. He had to have her, so he struck her a deal- he would let her go free if she slept with him. She agreed, and thus Skuld was conceived.
  
  Naturally, the templar would have nothing to do with the peasant after the act, so Skuld was raised by her mother alone for ten years, learning her "profession" in her footsteps.
  
  One day, however, near her eleventh birthday, the templar returned. Not exactly young to begin with when he had lain with Skuld's mother, he was now too old to conceive any more children. He had wasted his life lusting after an unattainable noblewoman. Having always had trouble with impotence, it was not hard to track down one of the few women he had bedded. He was in need of an apprentice, someone to follow in his foot steps and continue his legacy- he took Skuld from her mother, forcefully. There was nothing Jianna could do.
  
  Now the templar had only to tell everyone that she was the illegitimate daughter of the noblewoman he had lusted after for so long. She was no longer alive to contest his claim, and it satisfied two purposes- making sure no one gave his half-peasant daughter any shit, so that she could properly make him proud, and letting him live out his conquest fantasy.
  
  As a peasant, Skuld had already been cultivating a hatred for herself and all low born people, so she adjusted very quickly to her new situation. It was not easy, however. Her mother had been kind, by Athasian standards, and had only struck the girl when she had done wrong. Now the young girl found herself getting cuffed at every turn. This was not unusual for a child of Athas, but it was new to the relatively soft and weak Skuld. The rough treatment and privilege that came with being a templar's daughter cultivated her personality into something as brutal and overpowering as a wrecking ball- though her self-restraint was complete around people of higher ranking, she was forceful with those of equal status to herself, and merciless to those lower than her.
  
  Life was violent, full of pain and joy. When she wasn't being crushed beneath a higher up, she was the one doing the crushing. One of life's pleasures came in the form of a narcotic cactus button from the nearby desert. Once her father found out her habit of taking cactus buttons, he introduced her to stronger drugs.
  
  It wasn't long before the young templar heard about the death of the sorcerer-king in Tyr. The sorcerer-king she served under was widely considered to be a god, so the news shocked Skuld. After the shock faded, it began to give her ideas. Perhaps the sorcerer-king was only mortal, after all. And if so, that meant he had risen to his rank. And that meant she, too, could become sorcerer-king.
  
  This shortly preceded her fateful meeting with a youth in the drug scene. Lithe, dark skinned, and pretty, the sly-tongued youth had no trouble convincing the ambitious Skuld to join a cult.
  
  The other five members of the cult were less impressive- just a bunch of little shits who had somehow made their way up to nobility despite having dirt in their veins instead of blood. Not like Skuld, whose father was a templar. (Conveniently forgetting she was at least half peasant.)
  
  The infernal being the cult served was a pit fiend by the name of Etheziakkt. Skuld made a pact with the fiend, thus destroying her dependency on the sorcerer-king for her power, and taking the first step toward her desired destiny.
  
  Life was better than usual for a while. High on power, the young templar took more drugs than usual. In an intoxicated delirium, she laughed and boasted of how she would replace the sorcerer-king. This might have passed had everyone else been as high as she was, but there was one older templar sober enough to take this boast very seriously. An investigation was done on Skuld, the cult discovered. Every single member of the cult was executed, including the pretty dark youth who had so captured Skuld's attention. Skuld herself was stripped of all power and wealth and thrown into the arena to be killed in battle.
  
  For days she languished in the cells of the arena, enduring chills and nausea and hallucinations from drug withdrawal. Slowly she is recovering, and soon it will be her turn to fight- or rather, be mowed down. The first time she sees the sun again will likely be the last.
