• Description

  Shul'zahar Lerlael is old, even for an Elf, and it shows; his green eyes are growing dull with cataracts, while his once jet black hair has grown white as snow. While he remains active, even into the twilight of his life, he is approaching the age where he will have to retire from his adventures, and remain close to home. Where he lacks in strength and agility, he makes up for with his mental acuity and his strong faith.
  
  He wields the Lance of Faith; as much a symbol of office as well as a weapon of war, it embodies the conviction that the righteous must sometimes fight, to take up arms in the pursuit of justice. At his side rests the Book of Pelor. While it is seemingly a simple copy of Pelor's holy book, it still holds powerful magicks that the faithful may wield. He wears the robes of a battle-priest, a somewhat unique hybrid of cloth and metal chain mail armour, which suits his beginning-to-ail form. Crowning (quite literally) his regalia off, is the Crown of Pelor. It seems simple enough, being made purely of gold in a simple yet aesthetically pleasing design, yet it shines with a radiance rivaling the sun.
  
  While unassuming in appearance and in manner, Shul'zahar is undoubtedly a man of quiet charisma and power. He holds the rank of Pontifex; one of the highest ranks among the priesthood. Unlike most of such rank, who dedicate themselves to their flocks, temples, and towns, he travels around, spreading the word of his Lord, working to help people and guide them in any way possible. Such actions have earned him a lot of gratitude... and a little bit of ire...

• Biography

  Shul'Zahar's history, for the most part, is clouded in mystery. While this is normal for most adventurers, celebrated priests tend to have come under more scrutiny. From what has been gathered; he is a man of noble lineage, though he was not first born, and it is speculated that he was placed in the priesthood at the behest of his parents as a way to keep him out of trouble. He also spent a fair amount of time in the Untamed Swamps in an effort to convert the Lizardfolk who reside there to Pelor, which was met with moderate, though not universal success. There is also a rumour somewhere that he has a 'God's-child,' though how old, what gender, or any details at all about the matter are also non existant.
