• Description

  Clothing Style: Normally garbed in dusty brown, from the tall, wide brimmed hat that tops his greasy mop of a head, to the rough leather duster and trousers worn upon his weathered figure. The exception is the raven black iron armour that covers his shoulders and chest. Battered and well used, it is still of obvious quality, and is emblazoned with the symbol for his particular order, the order of the grim god death: a black rose held in the mouth of a gangly looking ruby eyed crow.
  
  Weapons: One could hardly begin to imagine what can only be described as an excess of armaments hefted about by this grim hunter. A quartet of single shot flint lock pistols are belted across his chest and waist, as is a long wicked looking sabre. In addition any number of smaller throwing and stabbing blades can be found in pockets, belts, boots, and just about anywhere one can imagine. In addition, various other weaponry is secreted away amongst his person, clothing and gear.
  
  General Demeanor: Worn, bitter, and brooding, Franz has spent most of his life surrounded by the worst the world has to offer. He often seems languid and disinterested when not actively disemboweling rogue vampires and various other cretins. However beneath his apathetic visage he is quick witted, observant, and always aware of the world around him.
  
  Occupation: Black Guard of the Order of Morr; casually called a Witch Hunter. Has spent most of his life dispatching the world of any type of scum & villain you can imagine.
  
  Prejudices: Franz has spent most of his life dispatching the world of any type of scum and villain one can imagine. However, belonging to a cult that sees itself as guardian of the souls of the dead, he is particularly interested in hunting down necromancers, liches, dark priests, rogue vampires, zombies and the like. He also has no time for austentaciousness, snobbery, or tradition, and takes no small amount of pleasure in bringing the self important down to their size.
  
  Best Qualities: Sharp of eye and quick of wit, Franz is skilled with the blade, the bullet, and the quill. He is dedicated, daring and relentless.
  
  Worst Qualities: Franz can be impatient with what he perceives of others weakness. He can be cold, callous, and aloof, and isn’t shy of sacrificing some of the wheat to rid the crop of chaff.
  
  Weaknesses: Franz is not as young as he once was and often overestimates his own prowess in combat. He isn’t particularly educated, and has few social skills. (No one has ever described the man as charismatic.) He is distrustful of others to a fault, and often chooses to go it alone, when in fact numbers would help his cause. He also isn’t particularly loyal, and has little time for following orders.
  
  Strengths: Excellent in combat, tactics, and a sterling eye for details, he can often identify an opponent's weaknesses within seconds. He is tenacious, resolute, and cunning.
  
  Battle tactics: Franz fights with a balance of speed, strength and cunning, and etches whatever advantage he can out of a given situation. He has no time for rules in combat, and will use deception if it will win him the fight. He see’s knights, and others enamored by codes and etiquette as superfluous and contemptible.
  
  Magics: Franz has no innate magic and views with suspicion anyone that does. Using magic items however is not beneath him if he believes it will give him some type of advantage. Additionally, through his Order, he does have access to some cantrips used to quiet the dead and keep the dead from turning.
  
  Languages: Reichspeil (common), Morrspeil, and some knowledge of the undead languages.
  Non-combat skillset: In his prime, Franz was a skilled dicer, drinker and all around carouser. Now, such proclivities typically involve far too much human interaction than he can tolerate.
  
  Family: Franz was born into a family of petty nobles. Founded by the illustrious imperial hero Magnus Kleinbaur, slayer of Apok the Insane, his family name was once powerful and prestigious. However, the clan had long since fallen into decline, and by Franz’s time, were little more than titled, land owning peasants.
  
  Biography: Born into austere conditions in the wooded and wild north, Franz’s childhood was spartan at best. His father was a soldier in the Emperor’s army, and a good one, stoic, loyal and reliable. He was not however a wealthy or successful one, and was killed by orks when Franz was eleven. At that point his older brother Soren left for the front, and his mother Gretta took over as head of the household. With the loss of her husband however, Gretta faculties began to fail, and she quickly declined into a raging madness. To escape the abuse, Franz left the estate at 15, and by 16 found himself squiring for a Templar of Morr. Since then he has traveled the furthest reaches of the world hunting down the undead and making sure the dying stay that way.
