  Anna has the blood of the Traveler animating her, meaning she has fairly unique powers. She is a master vampire who can supplant the consciousness of another vampire with her own, controlling their body as though it were her own. She may read the mind of one of her thralls if she wishes, to better impersonate them, and they can remember everything done while possessed as they would anything else they'd done. When animating the body of another vampire, she is able to use her own powers through their body, meaning that she can use any of her own abilities even while possessing brand new vampires. Anna rarely uses her own body, preferring to be seen in the body of one of her thralls whenever possible. The location of her home is kept a well-guarded secret to all but those who absolutely must know, for when she possesses one of her thralls her body is entirely vulnerable and as lifeless as though it were high noon.

  Kate Rosenburg - Kate is a Latin-American vampire, young in every sense. She was still mortal at the turn of this most recent century, and looks like she can't be past her early 20s. She is the newest of Anna's thralls, and is also the most eager to see the world outside of Possession.
  
  Laurence Duval - Laurence is more than six feet tall, black, and has been Anna's thrall for more than two centuries. He has the job of helping to train any new additions to Anna's followers, making sure they know what their secretive master desires. Though gregarious and outgoing, this frenchman is loyal to Anna and will protect her if she needs it.
