• In-Depth Appearances

  She is about the size of a draft horse and somewhat heavier, small compared to most dragons. She is not very traditionally beautiful, instead having dull coppery colored scales that seem matte in the light, as her namesake somewhat implies. She does have brilliant green eyes that are awake and interested in her surroundings. Most of her scars are not easily visible under her growth of scales, never having been injured badly enough to lose any scales completely, but if one were to run a hand over her they would surely find them.

• In-Depth Personality

  Coppertooth is as intelligent as a young adult human, though in regards to how many times she has been on a planet spinning around a central star (years), she is much older. To other dragons she is a mere child, not old enough to even raise her own clutch.
  
  She is not a stupid creature, bit others may think her so due to her mindless optimism, naivety, and the force at which she throws her trust to others. To her, withdrawing all the best parts of her are what is truly dumb. It is merely her quest to make the world a better place and if that means occasionally being taken advantage of then it is a sacrifice she is willing to make. She is also a very curious but socially inept creature. There is still much she needs, she hungers, to learn.
  
  The comings and goings of smaller, mortal, creatures are of much interest to the dragon, a matter of which should come to little surprise to the denizens of Peddler's Hollow. She finds the land is diverse and intriguing to her and excites in taking part in even the most mundane of tasks; set her on a quest and the poor thing just about explodes with excitement (she is inclined to have the temperament of an overgrown pup from time to time).
  
  Unfortunately she suffered many years of abuse under her mother's tooth and claw. Coppertooth has dealt with the backlash of fearful mortals before. Initial contact may be difficult and even awkward with this one and she shrinks from the presence of other dragons when they take their true form.
  
  Coppertooth is able to speak through thoughts but prefers to project her voice in the same manner of humans. It is a loud and gravelly thing, first for being a dragon, second because she is a highly emotional creature that prefers to speak very loudly. She has no concept of quiet, so don't even ask.

• Biography

  Copper hatched from a single egg clutch. Her mother was a great wyrm called Sleet, age and wisdom woven into her beautiful thousand color scales scattered amonst other scales which were the purest of white, and she kept this last single egg clutch secluded. Copper proved to be a disappointment, first by her plain appearances in contrast to her mother, then by her personality and antics. As a baby, Coppertooth was a whiny, insolent, demanding little creature who Sleet felt needed constant punishment, usually in the form of isolation. Then she would grow into a weak-hearted pushover, except for the rare occasions when she was bullheaded, in which case Sleet would pin her to the floor of their cave and tear at her daughter's miserably ugly scales.
  
  It was like this for a very long time, for Coppertooth knew little else aside from her mother and that dragon always said the wisest things, always seemed to know the contents of her heart. She could put words into Copper's mouth and make her believe in intentions that were never her own. Despite all Sleet put her through Coppertooth truly thought she loved the great wyrm and that someday she would make her mother proud.
  
  That day would never come.
  
  When Coppertooth proved self-sufficient enough that Sleet would not see her daughter's immediate despise the wyrm told her to leave. Hesitation from her daughter spurred a brutal attack that sent the young dragon racing across the skies to escape. Knowing a return to her mother's territory could result in her own death, Coppertooth stayed away and took to wandering.
