  Immortality(30) - Major Bloodline that grants the character an eternity at his prime, and removes the fear of death. An immortal character cannot be killed by any means. He automatically survives even utter destruction, and banishments or imprisonments will eventually fail to contain him. Will regenerate permanent wounds, such as limb loss.

  Major Transormation (20, 30) - Median and Major Bloodline that allows the character to transform into an alternate, monstrous form. The destructive form contained within the character's body may be elemental or monstrous in nature, and never resembles anything close to the original human form.

  Explosive Blood (20, 30) - Median and Major Bloodline that allows the character to use his own blood as a weapon. A key component to the creation of explosive tags, the character's blood may explode when ignited, or simply when exposed to air. This explosion never harms the possessor of the Bloodline, though debris from the explosion may.

  Immunity to Projectiles (10, 20) - Minor and Median Bloodline that makes the user resistant or even immune to most projectiles. This may or may not apply to energy projectiles, and may or may not have to be activated by the user.

  Earth Body (10, 20) - Minor and Median Bloodline that causes the user's body to become partly made of earthen materials. The Earth-based materials may be stone, dirt, vegetation, or the like. This partial change to the body may be turned on or off at the user's whim, depending on the strength of the Bloodline.

  Transmuting Touch (10, 20) - Minor and Median Bloodline that allows the user's touch to transmute one material or group of materials into a specific different state or material. This may be instant or take large amounts of time, and the amount of transmuted material per touch depends on the strength of the Bloodline.

  Dragonskin (15, 30) - Median and Major Bloodline that permanently changes the characters skin to that of a mortal dragon's (non elemental). This change gives a resistance to many forms of damage, and may grant an immunity to fire. The character may gain other unique abilities as the Bloodline develops.

  Wings (10, 20, 30) - Minor, Median, and Major Bloodline that grants the character wings. These wings may or may not be strong enough for full-fledged flight, depending on the strength of the bloodline, and flight speed also varies by strength. Some Wings have other benefits as well.

  Alternate Chakra Network (10, 20) Minor and Median Bloodline that represents a mutation in the way the user's chakra system works. This may simply mean that teh character is more resistant to techniques and abilities that involve his chakra network (such as all Illusions), or this may mean additional benefits, such as a completely different set of hand-signs useable by the character, preventing other characters from rolling Technique to figure out his actions.

  Demonic Pact (15) - is required for direct decendants of the Darkwater Clan, and is GM approved only. This Median Bloodline summons a minor demon to act as a companion for the character at all time. The companion shares XP and TP with the user, and his growth is dependant on points spent on him.

  Draining Touch (20, 30) - Median and Major Bloodline that allows the user to tap into and drain the Ki from individuals he touches. He may also drain energy from other sources with a stronger version of this Bloodline. This may require sustained contact, or merely close proximity as the Bloodline develops.

  Infinite Use of a Specific Tech (multiple of 5 up to 30) This Weak to Major Bloodline allows a user a specific innate ability, useable anytime, that works just like a Technique. The stronger the effect, the more powerful the Bloodline required. This may or may not require Ki to be spent or a Technique roll, depending on the strength of the Bloodline, but never requires hand signs or a focusing guesture.

  Elemental Control (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30) This Weak to Major Bloodline allows the user innate control over an element for no Ki cost or Technique check. This ability works in all ways like the appropriate elemental Control Technique, and the amount and strength of the controlled element is equal to the strength of the Bloodline.

  Full Descriptions
  
  ..
  
  I. Sharingan Eye
  
  The possessor of the Sharingan Eye Bloodline is a master of perception and Techniques. This Occular Bloodline is a direct mutation of the original Occular Bloodline, the Rinnegan. The visual appearance of the Sharingan is typically a red cornea with black pupils, with between 1 to 3 black tomoe, or dots with a tail like a comma, in place around the eye. This Bloodline most regularly shows up among the Shadowheart, and most rarely among the Fireheart, whom the Shadowheart attempt to prevent from marrying into the Bloodline. The development of the eyes is a linear path at first, unlike most Bloodlines, and branches only after the 3rd stage of development. Even the initial stage of the Bloodline is feared in one on one combat, however, as a skilled combatant with an active Sharingan can often detect all misleading moves or tricks an opponent throw at them, as well as partially predict his opponents moves. After the 3rd stage of development (when the 3rd tomoe developes) the character's eyes must each develope individually, granting a variety of powerful and ki-intensive abilities. The advanced Sharingan, often refered to as the Mangekyo Sharingan, is one of the most feared weapons in the shinobi world.

  Sharingan Progression
  
  .
  
  1. Initial Stage. The Sharingan in this stage must be actively turned on during the users turn, for the cost of 1 Ki. After this point, the Sharingan drains the user of 1 ki per 2 turns, and otherwise stays active until the user turns it off (for free on any turn of his). The user can only focus on one character per turn, but if he has been focusing on a specific creature for at least one turn, he may switch to another character as a reaction. The benefits of his Sharingan only apply to the character he is focused on at this stage, with the exception to Reflex Dodges. The advanced vision grants the character amazing attention to all details and movements, allowing him to copy the movements of others exactly if he is readied. This also reduces the TN on all Senses checks by 2, and grants the character an additional rolled and kept Senses die to detect creatures using stealth or detect the subtle inconsistancies of an Illusion. The character's ability to predict his opponent's full intentions on opposed combat rolls from the slightest initial movements grants him an extra die rolled on all physical opposed combat rolls, and an additional kept die on all Reflex Dodge rolls.

  In this stage as well, a user of the Sharingan can copy the Techniques of others. If the character sees a character he is focused on make a Technique roll, he can read their guestures and copy the Technique. The character may make a Technique check as normal at TN 5 to see if he can identify the Technique being used. If he is readied, he may use the Technique at the same time as the opponent, so long as he successfully made his Technique roll to identify the Technique as it was being used. For the remainder of the encounter, the Bloodline user may use the Technique, with all benefits of Mastery that the original user had, so long as he has the Ki for it. A Sharingan user can copy any number of Techniques per encounter, but promptly forgets the exacts of how to use them afterwards. A Sharingan user may, however, "store" a number of Techniques equal to his Intelligence Ability in his eyes, remembering the feel for them, but unable to use them. A character may spend Technique Points (TP) to learn Techniques stored in his Sharingan, and pays half the normal TP to learn such Techniques.

  2. Eye of Insight. The Sharingan user develops an additional tomoe when he develops into this stage, granting him increased visual aptitude and insight into his opponents moves. A character with an Eye of Insight may activate the Sharingan for 1 Ki as a reaction, so long as he is not making a Reflex Dodge, and his eyes drain 1 Ki per turn they are active from him. This does not count as the character's reactive defense for an attack. The user may also switch the target of his Sharingan to any person within visual range as a reaction, without having to wait any time in between. The user now also keeps an additional die on all physical opposed combat rolls, and if readied he can copy any attack skill roll he is physically capable of duplicating to negate another character's attack. The character gains an Auto-Success at this stage against all Illusions and against all attempts at misdirection, including the Acting Skill. The character can perfectly mimick and even memorize any movement, pattern, or guesture that does not require a roll, and can find flaws and imperfections in physical objects without having to roll.

  The character is also able to coordinate incredibly complex Skill efforts or attacks with virtually no margin of error, allowing him to make participate in combined attacks with perfect timing and accuracy. When making multiple Thrown Skill checks in a single turn, the user reduces the total TN penalty by 2 for making multiple attacks in a turn. The character also may ignore the first -1 penalty for voluntarily raising a Skill check due to timing, coordination, or complexity. Any time the user attacks a creature on the same turn another attack from another source is made against that creature, the TN for all of that creature's defensive rolls increase by 1 for the rest of the turn.

  3. Eye of Manipulation. The Sharingan user develops the third and final tomoe in this stage, completely mastering the normal form of the Sharingan Eye, and becoming a terror to all who face him. The sharingan may be shut on an off at will now, but each turn it is active in for at least part of the time, the user loses 2 Ki to the strain of using his eyes. The character may apply the benefits of his Sharingan against a number of creatures equal to his Awareness Ability from this point on. Additionally, characters rolling defensive physical rolls against the user's attack do so at 1 higher TN, as the user attacks from the perfect angle at the perfect time. The user gains an Auto-Success on all Reflex Dodge Skill checks, as he notices the attack slightly before others would. The user may now also duplicate and store any Technique he visually observes, whether or not he successfully made a Technique check as it was being use, so long as he is capable of using it at it's lowest rank. The Bloodline user may also spend a turn at this stage to automatically see through and dispel any Illusion currently targeting or effecting him, so long as the Technique or equivilant effect creating it is equal to or less than him in rank.

  The character may also concentrate the power of his Sharingan Eyes on a single target within range of him, attacking the target's mind if he makes eye contact. The user may force the opponent to make a Mental Check against a Focus or Spirit check made by the user. If the opponent fails, the character may attempt to force a variety of thoughts on the opponent. The user may attempt to encourage the opponent to use his strongest Techniques for the given situation (often his most powerful attacks on the user). Alternatively he may attempt to cause a deep-seeded fear or other emotion in the opposed character, causing them to act on the emotion at the earliest opportunity (fleeing in fear, for example). Finally, a non-threatened individual can be subtly hypnotized or otherwise manipulated by the Eye of Manipulation, forcing the character into a deep sleep, or suppressing the concious mind and forcing them to take some non-exerting action in a dazed trance-like state (such as forcing them to give information they have to the user).

  4.Further Development - The Sharingan abilities up to the gaining of the Eye of Manipulation are all standard for all members with the Bloodline. However, after the Eye of Manipulation has been gained, several other abilities may be manifested, depending on the user.
  
  .
  
  A. Advanced Mind Reading and Hypnosis - The character may make focus his attention on one opponent within visual range, forcing them to make the Mental check against the Eye of Manipulation. If the user succeeds, he may force his conciousness inside the opponents mind for a split second, forcing him to see a brief Illusion of the user's choice while sifting his mind for the Technique or other ability the opponent planned on using next, and leaving the opponent stunned for a turn. If the Technique or other ability the opponent was going to use next can be used by the Bloodline user, the user may then use it on his next turn, before the opponent's stun can wear off (effectively using a Technique he had never seen before his opponent can finish using it!). If successful, the Bloodline user must make a Fortitude roll immediately after the encounter ends (base TN 6, 2 successes) or be paralyzed and exhausted from the strain until a full night's rest. Some characters eventually develop a resistance to this strain.

  B. Advanced Illusion - The Sharingan user's ability with all Illusion Techniques are drastically more effective when focusing the full might of the Eye of Manipulation on an opponent. Regardless of whether or not the opponent meets the user's eyes, the user may increase the number of successes required to resist an Illusion as the Technique Skill roll is being made, by spending Ki per additional success to a maximum of 1 additional success required per rank of the Technique *and* point of Focus the user possesses. The amount of Ki spent to raise each success is equal to the rank of the Technique being used (1 for Student, 2 for Genin, etc). Also, when the Sharingan user becomes the potential victim of an effect requiring a Mental roll that he has successfully identified with a Technique check, he may spend 2 ki per rank (Student, Genin, etc) of the Technique or effect to cause it to immediately rebound on it's user instead.

  C. Advanced Defenses - Taking up a defensive posture, and gaining incredible insight from his eyes, the user focuses on one opponent and maximizes his efforts to negate the opponent's attacks. The Sharingan user takes no penalty from the speed of his opponent, as his eyes track the slightest movements of the opponent and predicts the outcome. In addition, the user gains an extra die kept on all physical defensive rolls he makes against that opponent. Finally, the character may raise to win a defensive roll on a tie without raising the TN of his defensive checks.

  D. Analyze the Weak Points - Taking a full turn to focus the Sharingan on one effect or opponent, the user can gain immediate understanding of any energy or physical defense the opponent is utilyzing, and gains knowledge of all weaknesses and strengths that defense possesses. In the case of an energy defense, the character can apply Ki to an attack (usually equal to the Ki normally used to create the effect) to negate the defense, destroying it. In the case of a physical defense or style, the user automatically gains an advantage as if his Martial Arts style was strong against that opponent (which stacks if the character was already strong), and can counter any defensive abilities that opponent may use by spending the same Ki the opponent does.

  E. Suppression - This Ability allows a user of the Sharingan to focus his Eye of Manipulation on a Jinchuuriki, forcing the Jinchuuriki's mind and his own into the heart of the seal binding the demon within the opponent. The user may then expend the force of the Sharingan against the demon within his opponent, silencing it's ki and shutting down the Jinchuuriki's ability to help it's host. Other forms of control against free demons are possible, though they may require a test of will against the strongest of demons.

  F. Unique Mastery of Control - This Ability allows a user of the Sharingan who is empty of Ki reserve to gain control of an elemental power beyond the scope of normal techniques. These abilities are usually unique to the user, and have devastating offensive power. Using this ability ends the character's ability to use the Sharingan until adequately rested to the point of completely refilling his Ki.

  5. The Mangekyo Sharingan - The ultimate in advanced Bloodline Abilities, the mere sight of the Mangekyo is usually sufficient to send any knowledgeable opponents fleeing on sight. In this form, the tomoe of the Sharingan merge with the pupil and shift into an unusual, usually symmetrical pattern that is unique to each individual. The character maintains all abilities from his previous incarnation of the Sharingan, but loses an additional 1 ki per turn in this new form. The eyes grant the user additional clarity of vision, allowing him to see through any Illusion Technique lower ranking than him immediately, and granting him an Auto-Success on all opposed combat checks. The character's speed is considered doubled for purposes of reacting to a Speed Boosted opponent, and the character may ignore the first 10 hand signs of any Technique he would use. This allows for the development of some of the most powerful abilities in the world, though use of these powerful abilities in excess may rapidly deteriorate the user's sight, eventually causing blindness (and effectively losing all active benefits of the Bloodline).

  A. The Left Eye - Born in the left Mangekyo Sharingan is an Illusory or Mental Shadow ability of supreme power. This power is usually unique to the user, and is thought to be completely irresistable to all individuals not possessing a Sharingan if exposed to the Illusion. The Illusion may alter reality, giving it the ability to cause temporary or permanent physical harm. The ability could also cause permanent psychological trauma to a victim. Using the Left Eye ability is extremely draining to the user, expending a large portion of his Ki, and possibly injuring his eye. The debilitating effects of prolonged use of this ability can cause the user temporary or permanent blindness, or even temporary paralysis.

  B. The Right Eye - Born in the right Mangekyo Sharingan is a power of elemental or pure energy offense. This power is usually unique to the user, and the offensive power of this ability is unparalleled in the shinobi world. The attack from this eye is typically impossible to resist with normal means, and may instantly destroy even the most powerful of Technique-based defenses instantly. Using the Right Eye ability is extremely draining to the user, expending a large portion of his Ki, and possibly injuring his eye. The debilitating effects of prolonged use of this ability can cause the user temporary or permanent blindness, or even temporary paralysis.

  C. Combined Eyes of the Mangekyo - The ultimate Sharingan Ability, this power creates a force using both eyes, drawn from the depths of the deepest and darkest portions of the user's psyche, and is almost always unique. The combined powers of both eyes costs the character an additional Ki per turn (losing 3 a turn total), and creates extreme strain on the user's eyes and body. Regardless of whether permanent damage occurs or not, after using this ability the character may not reactivate any Sharingan until he has rested to full Ki and enjoyed a night's rest. This ultimate Sharingan Technique produces a massive physical strain on the body as well, reducing a character immediately to -4 if he is higher health through drained body energy (Not being physical wounds, the character rapidly recovers from this condition with an hour's rest). The effects of this ability rival the most powerful spells of even Master Shugenja in the Outside World.

  II. Byakugan Bloodline.
  
  A powerful Optical Bloodline, and rival of the Sharingan Eye, the Byukugan Bloodline is similarly mutated from the original creator of the Ninja Valley. Where the Sharingan sees every detail, the Byukugan sees everything as a whole. Activating the Byukugan costs 1 Ki, and an additional Ki every turn it stays active. It takes no action to activate or deactivate the Byukugan, but both must be done on your turn. Once active, a user of this Bloodline gains nearly 360 degrees of vision, making attacking from an unseen angle near impossible. The only blind spot is directly behind the user, in line with his spine. Furthermore, the user can automatically see energy, especially Ki, as glowing sources of light. This allows the user to pinpoint exactly what route chakra is travelling through an opponent's body, giving the user a chance to roll Technique to identify an effect even if the opponent does not make hand signs. With concentration, the user may also focus his vision on one area, temporarily losing the all-around sight. When doing this, the user may see through most solid objects, and can focus in or out great distances (up to 1000 feet per point of Awareness) while looking around, still seeing energy and ki. A user can effectively sweep out to their maximum distance, searching with their eyes, thoroughly in a 30 degree cone in a turn. Finally, users of the Byukugan Bloodline are intuitively understanding of their own chakra systems, making Ki Focus checks easier. These abilities grant the character an Auto-Success on all Senses checks to see a stealthed attack, and grant the user a -2 TN bonus to detecting opponents using cover to hide. This also allows the character to roll normal Senses Skill checks against any Illusion or Stealth Techniques (even Invisible persons or objects), as the user can see the Ki left over from the Technique. Finally, the character gains a -2 TN bonus on all Ki Focus and Sense Ki checks. Unlike the Sharingan Bloodline, no ability path within the Byukugan Tree are linear, allowing earlier customization of the character. The Byukugan main paths are as follows:

  1. Ki Mastery - The user may develop a Mastery of his own Ki beyond that of a "normal" Byukugan user through this path. There are 3 steps to this path, and each must be taken in order.

  A. Superior Focus - Ki Focus TN's are reduced an additional 1, and the character may run up walls or walk on still water without rolling a check (or even having to think about it). Furthermore, activating the Byukugan no longer costs Ki.
  
  .
  
  B. Ki Efficiency - The character at this stage may manipulate any object with his Ki Focus Skill in the same manner as if he was touching it with his hands, without having to roll. This includes combat rolls, which still use their appropriate Skill without penalty. All costs to use Martial Arts Abilities are reduced by 1, to the minimum of 0, and the character need not pay 1 Ki to use the Speed Advantage's Boost Ability. Making a Mental check using the Focus Ability now only takes up the character's move or attack action for the next turn.

  C. Master of Chakra - The Byukugan user at this stage may perform tasks of any difficulty or complexity with Ki Focus without raising the TN, so long as it was possible for him to do in the first place. Martial Arts Ability costs are reduced an additional 1, and the character no longer pays Ki costs for using Add-On Techniques with a regular Technique. The character does not use any extra action at all to make a Mental check based on Focus, and if he wishes, may make a Ki Focus check instead, taking up his next turn. Any turn the character does not use Ki Focus or spend Ki in combat, he may gain up to double the normal amount of Ki from his reserve.

  2. Superior Senses - The Byukugan user's visual Senses are greatly enhanced by the use of his eyes, allowing him to notice things that other characters simply couldn't. This branch contains 3 steps, which must be taken in order.
  
  .
  
  A. Long-Range Scout - The effective range of the user's sight doubles, and he may zoom in and out much more quickly, covering large areas of his vision (about a quarter of his field of vision) each turn. The character gains an Auto-Success to see hiding characters, and may even see through surfaces he could not initially penetrate with his vision (such as lead).

  B. Powers of Observation - The user's abilities have increased to the point of being able to "x-ray" another ninja simply by being near them, allowing the user to see the major component's of their property through clothing or armor. The character can also accurately judge physical wounds by the damage to the surface and internals, simply with a glance. The TN on all Senses checks involving the sense of sight are decreased by 2.

  C. Spiritual Senses - The peak of the Byukugan user's observation skills, this ability allows the character to automatically identify the type and rank (Student, Genin, etc) of any technique being used by another individual before rolling the tech to identify it. The fine-tuned sense of ki adds an Auto-Success on all Sense Ki checks, and all Technique checks made to identify a Technique (as it is being used, or an in place technique). In addition, a Byukugan user may focus his vision on a single person for a turn, gaining an exact understanding of their Spirit score, the Technique type they most often channel through their chakra network, their remaining Ki, and their remaining Ki reserve. Focusing in this way on a character also reveals even the slightest disturbance in their physical or chakra networks, allowing the user to immediately know if the subject is under the influence of even the most subtle mental effects, is poisoned, or has any influences on his chakra network. A Byukagan User could user this ability to pinpoint the exact method a Soulless character lost his soul.

  3. Gentle Fist Martial Art - Using both his extraordinary vision and his ability to precisely control his chakra, the Bloodline user can develop a style unique to the Byukugan, unduplicateable by any others. Often called the Gentle Fist style of fighting, this Universal Martial Art may be applied to any of the 7 Styles of Martial Arts. The Bloodline user projects his chakra out several inches from his outstretched fingertips, and then with precise movements, he brushes or swiftly strikes an opponent with them. The force of the physical blow is immaterial, being that the user sharpens and hardens the chakra extending from his fingertips on impact, striking muscles, blood vessels, organs, or even the opponent's chakra network, without having to deal damage through the durable skin and armor of the opponent. A highly skilled Martial Artist would even be capable of shutting down, reversing, or even destroying an opponent's chakra network completely. The Martial Arts Abilities of the Gentle Fist style will appear in the Universal section of the Martial Arts doc.

  4. Ultimate Defense - Many ninja claim to have created an Ultimate Defense, impenetrable to outside attack, and capable of repelling any element or technique. The Byakugan takes the term Ultimate Defense and forces it to live up to it's name. The true master of Byukagan Defense can repel any number of attackers at once with ease, is never caught without the ability to react, can destroy energy attacks at will, and punish attackers foolish enough to get within melee striking range. There are 3 abilities in the Ultimate Defense tree, designed to eliminate all hope an opponent has of harming the Byukagan user.

  A. Honed Defenses - While his Byukugan is activated, the user takes half the penalty from repeating the same type of opposed defensive rolls before his next turn, losing a die only after using each defensive skill twice before his next turn. A user's effective movement speed is also never prevents him from rolling a Reflex save against a Boosting opponent, so long as the opponent or the opponent's passing is able to be visually detected. Furthermore, the user may expend 2 Ki per rank of a damaging Technique used against him to allow him to roll a Defend check against it, needing 1 success per rank the Technique was used at. If successful, the user seperates the energy of the attack and deflects the remaining residual force, dismantling and ending the Technique.

  B. Master of Defense - At this stage of the Ultimate Defense branch, the user gains even greater skills at reacting to threats, allowing him to take no penalty from repeating the same type of opposed defensive rolls before his next turn, ensuring that each successive defensive roll is as strong as his last. The character never is forced to roll a reflex save because of an opponent's effective movement speed during a opponent's Boost, though he is still denied a reactive Technique unless it can be reduced to no Hand Signs, or unless the user's speed is sufficient to allow a normal defense regardless of this ability. The user is so highly conditioned for physical defense that he may keep an extra die on his first physical defense roll since his last turn each turn. Also, the Ki cost for the user to dismantle damaging Techniques is reduced to 1 per rank.

  C. Spinning Chakra Defense - The pinnacle of defensive power, the user gains the ability to reactively push all of his Ki out of his body when attacked, rotating swiftly in a 360 degree spin, and catching all attacks on his newly created chakra field. When using this technique, the user must expend 4 ki, and make a Ki Focus check (Base TN 6, successes equal to the rank the Technique was used at, or the kept damage of the weapon). Success indicates that the damaging attack is stopped, and all weapons and melee attackers are violently hurled by the barrier (which creates a small dome-shaped crater with the user at the epicenter). Thrown characters have 2 damage rolled on them, with a Pierce equal to the user's Focus Ability. Immediately following the character's defensive spin, the character is unable to use the ability again, and is more vulnerable at this point. Only an attack that follow precisely after a use of the Spinning technique, or an attack from the user's blind spot, can prevent the user from using this technique. At this supreme stage of defense, the character no longer takes penalties for taking any action with a physical defensive roll that would normally require him to voluntarily raise ki, with the exception of shattering weapons that strike him with Resist.

  III. The Second Sight.
  
  Certain individuals in the Valley carry the gene for the rare Second Sight Bloodline. While few develop actual abilities, the Bloodline is carefully tracked by the Deep Woods Clan, where it supposedly originated. While the few gifted individuals with these special eyes do not gain any extraordinary powers over energy or matter, they do gain the ability to see, effect, and perhaps even control time. Such Bloodline Users can sense the fate of others and can see likely events in the future of such individuals. While no future is written in stone, knowing the most likely result in the future can speak volumes for the present. Advanced users of this Bloodline can even apply extreme will to alter the fates and futures of others, or even briefly tamper with time itself. The Second Sight grants one main set of abilities, and then immediately branches into 3 seperate categories. Each branch may be developed by the same character at any time they have the XP, with no need to finish one before beginning another.

  1. Initial Second Sight. - When it is first unlocked, the Second Sight allows the user to see auras around people, requiring an Intuition(Wisdom) Skill Check to reason out. The images are vague and rarely tell more than what quality or kind of day the individual is likely to have. Alternatively, the user may attempt to force a more symbolic image to appear from the aura by suceeding on a Mental (Will) Skill Check. This symbol comes with no other thoughts or feelings, and may be no more enlightening than reading the Aura.. This ability also grants the character occasional "Flash Forwards", allowing him to see his roll in an event that has not happened yet (and is thus still avoidable). Finally, once per day, a user may expend half of his maximum Ki at once to effectively stop time for all living creatures but himself for 1 turn. This interference in the flow of time does not stop moving objects from continuing to move, but stops living creatures as if they were frozen in place (even in mid-air). Stopped creatures are still subject to harm as normal. The ability to stop time requires a full turn of concentration before it takes effect at the beginning of the character's next turn. There are 3 branches of abilities the user with Second Sight may develop.

  III. Bringer of Life - The Bringer of Life bloodline is a lost bloodline of the original Valley founders. It was originally introduced to into the Valley's population through a small household of rogues who married into the Deepwoods Clan. Possessors of this bloodline claim to tap into the primal powers that created the first life on this world, wielding powers normally thought ot be the realm of deities. The power to give life to the inanimate, or create it from nothing. Users of this power can also learn to control and combine the primal elements directly, with dozens of possible effects. There are 3 main branches of abilities open to a Bringer of Life, though some sub-branches may connect to other main branches as well.
  
  There are some traits all Bringer's of Life share in common. The first is that, as long as the user is in at least a partially natural enviroment, and isn't rushed, the user automatically gets maximum successes on all Survival checks made to find food, cover from the elements, or supplies. Secondly, the user's TN's to use, identify, and resist the effects of all Water, Earth, and Air techniques are reduced by 1. In addition the user, if in a fully natural enviroment that is full of life, may spend 10 minutes of uninterrupted concentration to gain the effects of a full Meditation once per day. This ability does not count as Meditating. Finally, the user's Sense Ki ability is improved, doubling in area and becoming more sensitive. They user can also detect with Sense Ki the rough type and traits (female, mammal, humanoid) of any living creature within range and have a rough idea of it's current state of health.
