  Appearance: 5'4", 114lbs, shoulder length blond hair, usually pulled into a single braid. He has slightly tanned skin, light blue eyes, and a small but flexible build. He wears a blue button up shirt without he buttons undone and the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, a white sleeveless top, jeans, and blue and white sneakers.
  
  Personality: Shy, but smart, and highly observant, Benoit doesn't like being in the spotlight, and only speaks up when he has something he feels is worth saying. He's afraid of failure and being wrong, and often takes time to gather as much facts and evidence as he can. He doesn't take many chances, but recognizes that his current attitude is quickly getting him nowhere, and wants to change.
  
  History: Born the youngest son of a writer and a psychologist, Benoit grew up in a fairly stable family. They weren't incredibly rich, but they were well off enough that Benoit and his brother usually got whatever they asked for. Benoit was pretty close to his brother, until his brother entered high school, and peer pressure lead to a new circle of friends. This left shy little Benoit rather lonely, as making friends was difficult, for him.
  
  He had a similar relationship to his father, but Benoit was very close to his mother, Liana, an author by trade. From Liana, Benoit learned to be observant, ant to notice the little things, and he adored the stories his mother could create out of things seemingly mundane and overlooked. Liana spoiled her son - her baby - and for a long time, was Benoit's best friend. Sadly, when Benoit was eight, she was diagnosed with cancer, and succumbed to it four years later. For Benoit, watching his mother fight this losing battle was exceedingly painful - it was a sore blow to the entire family, really. His father retreated further into his work, and Benoit's brother started going out more, just to get away from the gloomy atmosphere that had settled over the house.
  
  Though it has been two years since Liana died, Benoit still misses her deeply. Though, recently, he has rediscovered several of his mother's written works - unpublished, they were the stories she had written just for him - and it has helped to fill the void in his heart. In the wake of this, Benoit has woken up to the fact that his typical shyness, worsened by the sorrow of his mother's death, wasn't going to move him forward in life, and he has decided that he wants to change. However, he's finding that coming out of his shell isn't nearly as easy as he thought it would be…
  
  Extra: English is not his first language, so Benoit always picks his words carefully. When upset or scared, he won't be able to concentrate, and he'll default to French.

  Garomon: Blindly loyal and naive, with a penchant for trusting all he's told up front.
  
  Taramon: Obnoxiously cheery, loyal, and has trouble keeping his voice situationally appropriate when excited.
  
  Graoulimon: Less excitable, yet still cheerful and faithfully loyal. He has a penchant for chasing small or round fast-moving objects.
  
  Macheroutemon: More serious than his previous stages, and while still just as loyal, he's much more wary of others and their intentions.
  
  Chevaliermon: Less of a sense of humor than his previous stages, very protective of those he considers friends or family, and is unshakably loyal.
  
  Appearance (In-training to Mega):
  
  Garomon: Dark gray fur, oversized ears, and small silver spots at the corner of his eyes and nose. Slight underbite.
  
  Taramon: Stands bipedal, small 'mane' of fur around his neck and shoulders, small silver markings at the corners of his eyes and tip of his nose, pointing back over his skull. Wears black trousers held with a wide leather belt, and heavy piercings in his ears that weigh them down, making them flop over slightly. Short, but rather fluffy tail. Slightly more of an underbite than Garomon.
  
  Graoulimon: Tall (6'0"), yet stands hunched (5'8"), with long arms, and walks in a mis of bipedal and quadrupedal. He has a big 'mane' of fur around his neck and shoulders, with silver streaks at the corners of his eyes and tip of his nose, pointing back over his skull, and a long, yet somewhat mangey tail. Wears a heavy leather collar with a single, large chain link 'tag', black, ragged trousers, torn at the knees, and held with a wide leather belt, and leather wrappings around all four paws. Also wears heavy piercings in his ears that weigh them down, making them flop over slightly. More pronounced underbite than Taramon.
  
  Macheroutemon: Stands at a full height of 6'5", with no hunch, spiked kneepads and pauldrons, with cross straps, the same trousers, belt, and collar, though the chain 'tag' has extended a few links. 'Mane' is pulled into one large braid in the back, and he has a small 'beard' at the end of his muzzle. The silver markings are thinner, but longer, extending back into his 'mane', and his tail is longer and less mangey. He carries a heavy shield on one arm, and wears a large sword across his back, as well as a single heavy gauntlet on the arm opposite the shield. Slightly less of an underbite than Graoulimon.
  
  Chevaliermon: More humanoid appearance, standing tall at 6'8", and wears a helmet with a slitted visor, and holes out the back for his ears. His muzzle is shorter, and the underbite is almost gone. Without the helmet, the silver streaks extend all the way to the ends of his 'mane'. All of his armor is now metal, and he wears a near full suit of it, including boots and tassets. His ears are still weighed down by the piercings, and the chain on his collar is extended to attach to the back of his shield, which makes it harder for him to lose in combat. He still wears a sword across his back, and carries an additional halberd.

  Transformations:
  
  Chevaliermon (Human): 6'8", and wears a double-visored helmet, with squared 'horns' that mimic wolf's ears. His face is quite human, though his faceted 'mask' covers it from the nose up, and he has a slight underbite. He wears a near full suit of armor, including mismatched pauldrons and layered tassets and chain maille that extend around behind him, and stretch almost down to his calves. He carries a single sword, and a large, badge-shaped shield. Two arm-like protrusions (ending in paws) extend down from the back of his head, and appear to come from his mask. Each ends in a paw with three toes (the first acting as a 'thumb'), and are fully opposable.
  
  Main attack: Luminous Lash (a simple attack with the sword, striking with light energy.), Eclipse Bash (a bludgeoning strike with the shield, which forces light energy away from it, thus creating darkness through the absence of light).
  
  MetalGraoulimon (Beast): 5'6" at the shoulder, with broad shoulders and slim hips, and larger front paws than rear. Each paw has three toes, and each toe has a large, sharp golden claw, which are used for tearing and traction. Like Chevaliermon, he has two fully opposable arm-like protrusions which double as his ears (though his are a bit shorter than his Champion incarnation). He wears ornate black and gold armor that covers his throat, chest, spine, and hips, and each plate covering his spine and tail has a series of spikes on each side (though there is a human-sized clear space down the middle), as well as an additional chain mail 'blanket' beneath the plates.
  
  There are floating rings around each of his paws, and another two around his ear/arms. Another six rings hover beside his shoulders (three each), with energy arcing between them. These, plus the bladed prongs attached to his tail, help MetalGraoulimon contain his massive stores of energy. A lantern hangs from a knotted hook on his collar, and it's used both to generate light and as a focal point for his strongest attack. His mask is faceted, and has sharpened points around his fangs, the bridge of his muzzle, and his forehead, which aid him in attack.
  
  Main attack: Radiant Claw Cross (attacks with both claws releasing criss-crossing light energy bolts), Lantern's Blast (energy is collected and focused through MetalGraoulimon's mouth for a devastating blast - the name comes from his lantern, which glows brightly, as it supplies most of the energy).
