• Description

  Severin is a wizard who specializes in gate spells. He has a magic staff he stores on an alternate plane that he can summon to himself at will, as long as he has sufficient energy. Without his staff he can do very little magic. He does, however, have a tattoo that is made of magic symbols. He can use it to protect against one physical attack per day or against one energy or magic attack per day although using it for the latter drains him of so much energy he can not summon his staff or do any other magic for the rest of the day.
  
  With his staff he is able to teleport varying distances, timeslip by a few seconds, summon creatures from other planes, phase through solid objects, create temporary portals to other planes, slow or accelerate time in small areas, magically lock doors, levitate objects or people including himself, and magically trace and find objects. All of his spells take magical energy, however, and major spells like portal creation or summoning a creature leave him unable to do anything else magically without rest. He can generally do about six minor spells, like levitating a small object or teleporting a few feet, per day. Overuse of magic tires him out so much he is likely to pass out.
  
  Severin's overall goal is to become the undisputed master of all planes of existence, but right now he's relatively weak and far from obtaining that. He tends to be quiet and observant and rarely displays much emotion. He also comes off as relatively humorless and while he's technically bisexual, it would be unusual for him to develop any strong connection to another person and he's usually not very into cuddling or touching in general. He tends to be obedient to his superiors or those more powerful than him as he sees obedience as a means to further elevation and power, and because he benefits from being in the good graces of authority figures.
