• Description

  Although he has a Korean, Jae has a mixture of Western and Eastern facial features. He is usually smiling in a very brainless way or looking terribly confused. Usually wears normal casual wear, such as shirts and jeans. Jae was programmed with super speed and reinforced muscles and bones. . His super speed is not only just for running really fast, however. He can also think at incredible speed and can speed up any part of his body. So, for example, if he wants to punch a hole through someone, he can just speed up his fist to just the right speed to go straight through muscle and bone. While his bones and muscles are reinforced, those powers are mainly there so that he doesn't rip tendons and break bones every time he stops. He can get hurt, but it's incredibly difficult to cut through his muscles and bones.Jae is not violent. He is not a killer. He is not at all bad ass. Even though he was developed as a human weapon and he is very dangerous when angry, he does not condone violence and will often get sick at the sight of blood. Jae is very much a pacifist, although he will hurt, or even kill, to protect those he loves and cares about. He's also pretty much the happiest and most optimistic person you could ever meet. Despite the fact that his "species" is not welcome and discriminated against, he always sees the bright side of things and never gives up hope no matter how dismal things seem. Jae is also extremely intelligent when it comes to sciences, math, languages, and history. However, emotions and human interaction are not in his realm of understanding, and as a result of this he can often come across as stupid or rude. No matter how mean or cruel someone is to him, Jae will always give them the benefit of the doubt and call them his friend. While Jae is not the brightest bulb when it comes to emotions, he is incredibly intelligent. As in, genius IQ intelligent. He likes to do physics "experiments," which usually involve him throwing something, calculating how fast to run to catch it at a certain point, and then repeating the process over again. While Jae tends to be a bit derpy and happy most of the time, he will lose his temper when people mess with him or his friends. And an angry Jae is not something you want to deal with. His loyalty runs incredibly deep and once he becomes friends with someone he will never EVER betray them. In fact, he's a bit like a puppy.

• Biography

  Summary: Jae lives in an alternate future where North and South Korea have declared all out war on each other. Soon, the United States and China were drawn into the conflict and it became World War III. Test Tubers like Jae were created and used for simple jobs--like janitors, musicians, and journalists--and more complex jobs—government spies, agents, and politicians. However, the world was not able to accept artificial humans, and segregation laws were passed. Test Tubers must obtain permission to eat, drink, sleep in certain places, and marry. Jae and his twin brother, Shiwoon, were created in a military contracted lab called Gene-Teks. They were both trained in combat techniques, spying techniques, and first aid. Even though the two have the same face, they became very different individuals. Shiwoon became violent, aggressive, and sociopathic and was therefore purchased by North Korea. Jae, however, was kind, optimistic, and passive; South Korea bought him as a sort of ambassador and protector. The twins were separated at the age of 16, but they still share a psychic bond; whenever Shiwoon kills or destroys, a burning sensation runs through the bar code on Jae’s collar bone. The scar on his chest was given to him by Shiwoon during a training exercise gone wrong, as well as the notch in his ear. Jae was raised in a country where people like him were second class citizens, but he refused to see the darker side of his country. Whenever his clients complained that they were being protected by a Test Tuber, he simply took it as a means of flattery. He lives in Seoul and does odd jobs for his side of the war. His worst fear is meeting Shiwoon face to face.
  
  Shiwoon: Shiwoon is Jae's twin brother and his polar opposite. While Jae is kind, optimistic, and very much a pacifist, Shiwoon is violent, aggressive, and sociopathic. The two are completely identical in physical appearance except for a few minor things: Shiwoon has maroon eyes, is missing the entire top half of his right ear, and is just a few inches taller than Jae. While Jae works for South Korea and the United States, Shiwoon works for North Korea and China. The two are on completely opposite sides of a war and will be forced to fight someday. I may bring this into the RP, but that all depends. The twins were both born in Gene-Teks lab for the UN at the beginning of World War III. Jae was given super speed to be a peacekeeper and protector while Shiwoon was given pyrokinesis to become a human weapon of mass destruction. Jae admired his twin's strength, determination, and power but failed to see the more negative traits his twin also carried. Shiwoon hated Jae with a passion and would do small things in training to bring his twin down a notch and become the stronger of the two. As they both grew older, their relationship became worse until they both openly hated each other. In a training session when they were 16, Shiwoon used his power against his brother for the first time and permenantly scarred his brother. When a field went up to disrupt their powers, they resorted to breaking a glass table and using shards as make-shift knives. Jae cut off the entire top half of his twin's ear and Shiwoon cut a deep nick in Jae's opposite ear. The next day, they were shipped off to opposite sides of the war and have not seen each other since. The twins share a deep psychic connection that can cross into a physical bond. Whenever one twin is happy, the other feels the same emotion. Other emotions have the same effect, but Shiwoon imprinted another effect on his brother. Everytime Shiwoon kills or destroys, the bar code on Jae's collar bone burns him. The massacre of Pyongyang left the muscle and bone under Jae's code singed and unrepairable. While Jae is a symbol for hope, innocence, and innate human good, Shiwoon is a symbol of chaos, destruction, and deeply embedded evil.
