    Ticker is a Mertoid, a race of tiny telepathic beings that do whatever the evil god of time, Toc Tic, brother of Tic Toc, good goddess of time, says. But Ticker broke free of the evil mind control of Toc Tic, but with the break came a time whiplash, sending Ticker spiraling across time to transform into different people depending on what time he is received at.

    Toc Tic and Tic Toc were battling, and Toc Tic saw that Tic Toc had many servants, so he enslaved the Mertoid to get even with her. Ticker was a child when his race were enslaved, and he was sent to do whatever Toc Tic demanded. The Mertoids caused time to shake, using their transformation abilities to control important figures of history. But Ticker, travelling through a time warp, collided with another Mertoid who accidentally went down Ticker's warp. The Mertoid died, but the collision freed Ticker of Toc Tic's control, yet sent him spiraling out into the dimension of Time, throwing him into different periods and realities, sending him on wacky adventures in different forms. Ticker always has minor amnesia after landing in a reality, yet eventually gains his memory back. But after he dies or is knocked out of one reality he enters another.
