• Tenno backstory

  Not overly much can be said about the exact nature of the Tenno and their iron-clad forms.
  
  Legends speak of the Great Regulators, an immaterial kind of people whose evolution has allowed them to create empty vessels that they use to restore balance and peace. Other legends claim that Tenno are revenants of an era bygone, awakening on rare occasions to fight for a cause and then just as mysteriously disappear.
  
  One thing is sure, however. Their forms are many, their numbers unknown and their methods are swift and thorough. Emissaries of peace of Harbingers of war, the Tenno are regarded with awe and respect.

• Valkyr's backstory

  A creature of mystic origins was sacrificed into the altar of profit. Hundreds of people were rooting for the mind-shattering and body-reforging process that would turn a Tenno, a force of universal equilibrium, to a mindless, feral bodyguard for the wealthy and corrupt. Their hopes were partially confirmed. After months of mind-wracking torture and gruesome physical alterations, the Valkyr project was a success.
  
  Blessed with technologically miraculous equipment, a feral mind ready to tackle any physical challenge and a body augmented to extreme performances from billions worth of bionics and implants , she was indeed destined to be a protective pet of a sort. However this was the part of the plan that went awry. Unlike a tortured animal, the unbroken will of the Tenno turned obedience to feral dementation and unrestrained furor that was vented on her creator-torturers.
