• Description

  Posessing the kind of face that could be reasonably called "Decent looking" at it's best, and "scruffy" at it's worst, Michael Zilton has never been known for his looks. As somebody who spends much of his time alone, drifting through space in a metal coffin, he has taken sensibilities to match. His dress attire can usually be summed up as either "whatever is comfortable", or "whatever is most practical", and despite rarely stopping to cut it, his hair never seems to grow past the far end of short. His beard on the other hand seems to receive most, if not all of his grooming attention, being constantly kept to a neat short box.

• Biography

  To hear him tell it, Michael Zilton has been all over the galaxy for every reason imaginable. Billing himself as "mainly" a self-employed asteroid miner, he says he's also done everything from smuggling goods into heavily guarded areas, to out-flying pirates in better ships through an asteroid field, to fighting in whatever war seems to be going on at the moment.
  
  His actual background is a good deal simpler. As the son of a relatively successful merchant and her husband, he spent his early youth skipping school however possible and his later youth getting yelled at by his family for joining the military. He would tell them it's what he wanted to do. They would tell him to be a merchant like his mother. This led to a falling out, leaving him berift of funds and with no real options but to go forward with his plants.
  
  With a significant amount of effort and a little bit of luck, he was able to work his way into being a fighter pilot. It was there that he not only found out that he had a talent for flying, but also was very good at making sure people knew. Oddly, this gained him very few friends, and after serving ten years and having gotten into quite a few fights, both for the military and on his own, he left to pursue other means of employment.
  
  Michael was lucky enough to find work in the form of asteroid mining, working under an old miner named Saul. The pay was decent enough to keep him eating, and he was more than happy to work in a field where he could pilot a ship. Unfortunately, he was only a few years in when an accident claimed Saul's life, leaving the ship and their work in Michael's care.
  
  Since then, he's piloted the ship ('lovingly' named The Pile of Junk)and done his work alone. As for the stories he tells to anybody that'll listen, most of them aren't true. Mind you, this isn't to say that they aren't based on events that did happen, nor that they are all lies.
