  Tegan is an photographer who owns a small photography studio in LA. Her parents are rich, with her father owning an oil company and her mother a professional fitness trainer, and she used some of her inheritance to buy the building that holds her studio, with her living in the loft directly above it, and renting out the other 2 apartments to an elderly couple and a Brazilian woman who just moved to America, respectively. She mostly keeps to herself, with only a hand full of friends. She speaks Portuguese, Italian and Russian fluently, with her mother being Brazilian and Italian, and her father Russia-American.
