• Apperance

  Hair
  Short, dark blonde in colour.
  Often messy but with some effort to not be in front of his face.
  
  Eyes
  Augmented, give off a slightly orange tint, a small white spot to serve as the 'pupil'. In harsh light conditions they act in a similar fashion to transition lenses in glasses, only instantaneous. Has a secondary vision mode that highlights other augmentations and objects of relevance to his profession, can only be active for a short time before needing a 'cooldown period' to recharge.
  
  Work Apparel
  He wears well worn, but durable work trousers and boots, a brown t-shirt worn under a dark grey jacket. He wears a blue scarf around his neck, mostly to hide the scarring on his neck that the jacket and shirt doesn't cover. He also wears a fingerless glove on his right hand and a small bag attacked to his belt that holds various small, basic tools inside.
  
  Captain notes: Despite consistent reminders he refuses to wear standard engineer uniform, claims it's 'too bulky and ichy'.
  
  Other Apparel
  He does own a skullcap that is a similar shade to his jacket and has a full boiler suit if the job he's doing requires it.
  
  Scars or Other Markings
  Surgical scars and minor skin grafts to the left side of his upper body and left side of his lower neck where his augmented arm connects to his flesh. Small surgical scar on his head where the neural chip that helps control his augments was inserted. All scars covered by either his hair or clothing.

• Background

  Born into a family with a naval military lineage, Kevin was raised from birth with a military career path in mind from a young age. In his early years of high school he found a personal interest in mechanical engineering, with prodigal like skill in repair work especially. Because of this, after enlisting at the age of 18 he was able to get a post on the military vessel 'Sydney' as one of the engineering crew. A year into his service he volunteered in the Sydney's augmentation scheme where he received his arm augmentation. A year after that he applied again for visual augmentations.
  
  On the Sydney he was well liked for his sense of humour and no nonsense approach to problems, however his skills were eventually noticed and subsequently in high demand meaning he was often reassigned to various vessels with alarming frequency to the point that in the last four months he'd been serving on as many ships. While these constant reassignments meant much higher pay, it also meant that his only real friends are those he made on the Sydney and he will always return there when he can.
