• Personality

  Keiji is distinctly Tengu and posses all of the personality traits. Short tempered and haughty to boot it can be difficult to reason with her at times. But this is mostly her exterior personality, no more then a guise. On the inside she's kind caring and would like to be accepted for the person she is. Even if her outward personality is preventing this very thing she maintains this undesired outward personality. And it is in this one way she is illogical. She can be brave in most situations but when it comes to actually connecting with a person she's totally ill-equipped and unprepared, disguising this cowardice with false bravery and nonchalant carelessness. But in actuality it's entirely what she's hoping for, just a few friends might be nice.

• Skills

  Keiji being a Tengu has many skills. Her telepathic abilities allow her the skill of illusion weaving as well as telepathic communication; speaking without the moving of lips. Teleportation, flight, and shape shifting are among other skills. She is able to assume many forms such as a variety of humans, a fox, tanuki (though she refuses to use it), and a small blackbird.
  
  

  Hauchiwa: Can magically lengthen one's nose or produce gale force winds for use in battle or to punish.
  
  Shakujo: Wards off evil magics and is used in the casting of spells as well as in hand to hand combat.
  
  Martial Arts: It is said her kind were the true masters and teachers of martial arts such as Aikido, Ninjitsu, and Kenjutsu among others. So as would be expected she has learned all and is extremely proficient in all forms of martial arts and the techniques they include. Stealth, swordfighting, and battle tactics are all in her repertoire as well as her ability to improvise.
  
  Elements: Among her ancient magics she holds a repertoire of elemental spells. With the use of her shakujo she can summon any one of the four basic elements though her use and skill with them is limited.
  
  Swordsmithing: Being proficient in the use of weapons and more specifically swords means she has become very practiced in the making of them. She is able to forge even without a forge due to her elemental abilities, by means of "breathing fire".

• History

  Mythologically tengu are birthed from eggs, and consist strictly of men. Never before has a female tengu been documented or otherwise recognized as having existed. But Keiji was an anomaly. Raised in the Tsubaki Jinja as a karasu tengu, a mere messenger and servant. She was relegated to the lowest ranks due to her feminine form as coincides with buddhist teachings of karmic balance. As such she was very much the runt of the pack.
