• Description

  Atencio very much resembles the group of indigenous people from his island home. Dark skin, hair, and eyes are distinct features of his heritage though he has gone out of his way to highlight his hair he can't help but wear the shell symbol of his people around his neck. Part of his heritage gave him a unique ability in the water, island myth would make people believe that the indigenous tribe was bred from the tryst of a sea god and a maiden fair. That tryst is said to have given the island people an amazing adaptability in water but a weakness on land.
  
  Of course Atencio doesn't take stock in the myth and is perfectly happy on both land and water, though he does love to surf and has been known to compete from time to time with great success. After the tragic death of his parents he came to Nexxus to start over. Though it's been one heck of a rocky restart he's trying above all else to keep his head above the surf.

• Biography

  Atencio is an islander through and through, he was born a few minutes from the surf and the surf is where he has always been. Granted he's moved around some and now he lives in a low rent apartment just a few feet from the beach, he's still an islander at heart. From the time he arrived he found life in the Nexxus to be more than a little interesting...it's complicated and he's working three jobs to make rent for his tiny one bedroom but he's surviving. Though he could use a better source of income and more food in his fridge than a jar of jelly.
