• Background

  Born and raised in a working-class neighborhood, Edgar's father was a tradesman who worked long hours in less than desirable conditions which took his life at an early age. His mother raised him with the help of her sisters and assured Edgar would have opportunities previously unavailable to his family. Attending the local state college and working to supplement his mother's income, he witnessed his mother's sudden illness and eventual death.
  Edgar suspected his mother contracted the mesothelioma from her exposure to asbestos at the plant, but her employer denied any liability and refused help with treatment. No attorney in the city will represent Edgar's mother claim and Edgar suspected that the plant's board of directors had substantial influence with the local municipal and state government.
  The loss of Edgar's parents motivated his choice to study law and apply it in a way to help the little guy. Edgar was fortunate enough to maintain a competent practice that allowed him to pursue clients that could not afford legal advice while keeping his accounting books in the black. Over the years, Edgar has developed substantial influence with local and state government, unions, and other labor organizations with political pull.
