  Viratin is back at the Tether after a long journey!
  He's looking toned and fit, the mage has taken up boxing to keep in shape. He could use a sparring partner, perhaps!
  He's also open for business, enchanting services available.
  
  Rules
  
  They're more like guidelines, anyway...
  
  1) I enjoy long term paragraph RP. We don't need to plot out a whole timeline, but I'd like to have some idea where we're going with something, rather than just a random meeting. Also, I'm a stickler for capitalization and punctuation. Third person RP highly preferred.
  
  2) Raincheck/Ditching policy: I really didn't want to put this official, but people step all over this, so here it is in black and white. If I message you and ask you for an RP, and you respond with a "Yes, but not right now", or if we start an RP and end up having to pause it I will ask when is the best time to start/continue, then try to reach you at that time later. If at that later time we talked about you are unable to RP or continue, it then becomes your responsibility to seek me out to continue. This is so that if you are actually not interested and simply to kind/shy/scared to say no up front, the ball is in your court to do with as you please. From the point upon which the responsibility becomes yours, I will proceed to go about my own business and not worry about it. If rainchecking/ditching becomes a frequent thing, I will simply stop looking for RP with you.
  
  3) Post time: I'm a relatively quick poster. If writing a post takes more than ten minutes for me, it's because I was AFK or writing a chapter. If each player takes ten minutes to post, that leaves each of us with only three posts an hour. RP takes forever at that rate. While sometimes I'm alright for a slow-paced evening, I generally prefer to try and get posts out in about five minutes (I won't hold someone else to that standard, however). If my partner is regularly taking 15-20 minutes to post, however, I will quickly lose interest. This especially applies in RP with small groups.
  
  4) Drama Llama: OOC and IC, I and Viratin will avoid unnecessary drama at every possible step. "Stop mixing OOC and IC" is something I hear sometimes when I mention this. Guess what? My IC and my OOC mix a bit in this area. If I'm not enjoying an RP because someone else is getting their rocks off to soap opera stupidity, I'm gone. IC'ly, my character does not have the patience for such people. Story driven drama is a different matter, so long as it is pertinent to the development of a storyline or character.
  
  5) Less of a rule, more of a thing of note. When I write while roleplaying, I only give physical description in my post, or try to. I avoid exposition, such as how my character is feeling or what he's thinking. Such information is not necessarily available to other players or characters. I will hint at his thoughts and emotions via body language, tone, et cetera, but I'll not describe it. I believe this is proper roleplay. I won't hold my partners to this same standard, though I appreciate the effort and think more of those who do. Sometimes I feel people write lots of thoughts and feelings in their posts just to try and stretch the post length to match arbitrary sizes.

  Friends: He's always looking for people to relax, drink, smoke, or read with.
  
  Romantic Interests: He's an old man, but that doesn't mean he's lost a step.
  
  Apprentices: Very rarely will Viratin teach another his art, but he has a great deal of knowledge with other areas of magic. With so many having the gift in the Tether and other such places, he's often taught them how to harness their power.
  
  Clients: Viratin practices many arcane trades, and employs them as both hobby and primary income source. His primary trade is enchanting. The enchantments cost more or less depending upon the item being enchanted, the complexity of the enchantment, and strength of the enchantment.
