• PHYSICAL APPEARANCE

  Anderson is a very well put together individual. His hair is naturally blonde, and his eyes naturally blue. His pale skin is natural too. When he gets a lot of sun he burns and looks more like a cooked lobster than a human, but this happens only rarely for some reason. Anderson's body reflects his active (if not outdoorsy) life style his body isn't rippling with muscle but anyone who touches it can feel the muscles beneath the surface. His blue eyes are the kind that seem to pierce, most of the time, and people get the impression that not a lot is lost on Anderson.
  
  When not wearing his school uniform Anderson goes most often for comfort, jeans and a t-shirt are what truly make the man work, but he's not opposed to dressing up a little before going out. Anderson has several tattoos on his body, two on his right wrist, a symbolic butterfly, and the word lovely in an elegant script. On his upper right arm he has what looks like three claws slashing through his skin to reveal a British flag, why the British flag... because he didn't want to do the American one. In addition to his tattoos he also has several piercings. Three in his left ear, two in his right, as well as one in his lower lip. These are usually taken out before he heads to class every morning, but occasionally they're left in, on those days he particularly doesn't care.
  
  There is a scar running from his collar bone to his belly button, it's origins are lost in the shroud of his past, but it often appears as a big ugly thing when he takes his shirt off, a paler pink even than the rest of his skin. Likewise are the two scars on his legs, both on his upper thighs.
• HISTORY

  Anderson's early life is a shroud of mystery to him. He was born in the usual way, to a mother who loved his father dearly. They lived happily together for a time, until Anderson's father, a well to-do lawyer from LA found a prettier girl and ran off with her, leaving Anderson's unemployed mother to take care of the child. While child support could have helped, Anna Cole refused to do anything that might jeopardize the chances of her husband coming back to her, and would not sue for it. She got by on foodstamps and government aid as much as she could, and when she couldn't she found odd jobs that helped pay the rent. Painting houses, cleaning... and occasionally prostitution. Whatever she had to do to keep Anderson well.
  
  However as time went on she became more and more disjointed, the realization that her love would never return to her broke her mind and cast Anderson into a world of torment, coming home from school he never knew which fragment of his mother's personality would be greeting him at the door. If she would greet him with a hug and a plate of cookies, or if he'd have to dodge flying knives when he walked in, more than once he was taken to the hospital after having been knocked down the stairs by his mother's fury. In one of her lucid moments, Anna made a decision that probably saved Anderson's life. She gave him up.
  
  Anderson never recovered from that perceived rejection, even though he was happier once he was away from his mother. He never got over that not just one but both of his parents had abandoned him. Even once he was settled in with a foster family he seemed constantly dejected. He caused trouble and acted out, he was never violent, but his first several foster parents feared he would be, and sent him away. Rejection piled on rejection and Anderson sank quickly into a pit of despair.
  
  It took Maria and Trevor Reynolds to snap him out of it. They were young parents, with more money than they needed and a home big enough for another kid. They took him in when he was eleven, and provided him with everything he needed, his own room, alone time, space to roam. They were understanding of his weird shifts in mood, and trusted him with their twin daughters. They did everything right, and gradually Anderson came out of his depression, with the Reynolds' he'd found a place where people cared about him, where he didn't have to hide his feelings. He was accepted and loved, and gradually he came to accept and love them too. Even if they did still fight about religion every Sunday.
  
  However, eventually the day came when Anderson screwed up... majorly. He got in a fight at school, some kid had insulted his mother... something that always set Anderson off, and instead of just walking away Anderson snapped, he beat the kid senseless and then some, when the teachers finally managed to pull Anderson off of the boy there was all kinds of blood, and the boy was unconscious. Anderson was expelled, and there were very few other schools that would take him after that. Things changed at home too, for the first time Maria was hesitant about leaving him with the twins, and Trevor no longer liked is when he roamed too far from home, Anderson found his world closing in against him once again.
  
  Trevor and Maria saw the change come over Anderson, and did the one thing they could think of to do. They sent him away to school. Refusing to give up the boy they'd come to regard as their own, they enrolled him in St. Valentines School, a place where they knew he'd be safe and where the mistakes of his past wouldn't haunt his every step. Anderson loved it there, he wasn't just some troublemaker, he got a legitimate second chance, and used it to the fullest. His grades were phenomenal, his teachers raved about him, everything was going good, the end of his freshman year loomed, and he even found love... or so he thought. A senior boy had spent the entire years wooing him, and when the time came for graduation, Anderson couldn't see through the haze of love stricken clouds to see what was coming next. It happened in the men's room, in a cramped little stall. It didn't last long, but to Anderson it was magical. The boy promised to call. He never did.
  
  That summer Anderson changed more than he had before. Something awoke in him, and Maria was overheard saying that it looked like two people were watching her from beneath those brilliant blue eyes... and she was right. The summer the spider awoke was the loneliest summer of his life. Isolated by the past, and by the strange instincts he couldn't control Anderson spent more time roaming the streets and sleeping in out of the way corners than he did at home. Trevor did everything he could to let Anderson know he was still welcome, but there was nothing outside that really needed to be fixed. The problem was coming strictly from within now...
  
  St. Valentines became a haven of sorts, a place where even if Anderson lost his temper, or those strange instincts took hold... at least he wouldn't have to worry about hurting his family.
• PERSONALITY

  Anderson is a laid back, easy going, hard to infuriate person. He's kind friendly and usually wears a smile. Intelligent beyond his appearance there isn't a lot that Anderson misses. Those that count him among their friends are many and lucky. Anderson is the mediator when disputes break out, he's the kind of person who hates violence and discord and goes out of his way to avoid them. He's quick to answer question in class and is one of those people who seems to be fearless, facing everything with a sort of calm aloofness that other people are jealous of.
  
  Anderson does have his negative traits, he's extremely jealous, and rather possessive. He doesn't like it when the people that he considers friends pay attention to people other than him, and he goes out of his way to stop that from happening, often times making a fool of himself just to win their attention. He's terrified of silence and is a veritable chatterbox, you can be certain that if someone else isn't (and sometimes when they are) talking Anderson will be, filling the quiet moments with the sound of his voice, to keep that oppressive lack of noise at bay.
  
  The spider is as it sounds, a spider. It has no true personality, but contributes quite a bit to Anderson's when it is wakened. A creature of instinct the spider has only three real goals in life, sex, sustenance and safety, so long as those three goals are met the spider has nothing to complain about. It is often laconic, and sleeps a great deal of the time, although lately it's been merging more and more with Anderson's true self, and is aware of more. Loud noises and unexpected contact cause the spider to jump, and often Anderson can't control the reaction that ensues, swift violent outbursts that give the spider time to run away or attack more fully.
  
  As expected the spider has it's downsides too. Ravenously hungry the beast is almost always in search of food, and although it is only a beast, it's merger with Anderson has given it some higher thought process. It prefers to prey on younger targets, and has become sadistic over time, enjoying the fear and torture of others, despite Anderson's dislike of such things. A control freak, the spider refuses to allow anyone else control of a situation and it's first reaction is always to lash out with violence, beating into submission any and all who oppose it. Anderson is often able to talk it down, and convince it that a more soft handed approach is better... if only so he doesn't get thrown out of school.
• POWERS

  Anderson shares his consciousness with a spider, and is gifted with many of a spiders abilities and traits. Small hair fibers cover the palms of his hands and feet, allowing him to scale walls and climb otherwise impossible terrain. He has increased strength and speed being five times both stronger and faster than an average man. His thumbnail, and index fingernail on both hands have been replaced with tiny spinnerets, and the palm of his hand is slightly squishier than normal, as a 'web sack' has grown into it. Also the roof of his mouth has become slightly puffy, where a venom sack has appeared, and is usually filled with a Paralytic Venom that immobilizes it's victims for 1-4 hours, depending on their size. Anderson is immune to his own venom. In addition to all of this is a strange tingling that tells him when danger is approaching either him or his friends, a sort of instinct built in for survival.

  
  

  POWER FLAWS

  Sharing your consciousness with an entity incapable of rational, logical, or even advanced thought is not an easy task, and Anderson often finds himself Behaving in ways that he never would normally. Loud noises and unexpected contact trigger the spiders instincts and make him react violently, his personality has shifted from a laid back young man to that of an ever ready hunter, who views all creatures smaller than him as food.
