• Description

  He stood about 5’10 with long black hair tied into a pony tale he also sported a light but scruffy beard. His eyes where a very light yet striking blue his skin tanned from the rays of the sun. He wore a dingy grey cloak with the hood up the hood covered his head and shaded his face. The cloak was clasped with a very old insignia from a clan long since destroyed. The cloak draped down his body to nearly touch the ground. It hid him well. Under the cloak he wore a very simple dingy green tunic with a brown leather belt holding up his hunter green pants. The belt had on it three pouches and the sheath to his long sword. Slung over his shoulder was a long bow almost as tall as he was which was accompanied by the large Quiver slung over his back. He wore beaten up leather boots with a throwing dagger hidden in the right boot. He wore almost no jewelry minus a small necklace with a similar looking insignia from the one on his cloak.

• Biography

  He was born in a large city. A vast metropolis of steel and stone, it was a city to be marveled truly a wonder of mans ingenuity. It was not only a wonder of architecture but also a technological strong hold. Deemed the city of the future, it had deep roots into a past long forgotten by most of the people there.
  
  He was born into a rich family. A powerful family indeed, for his was a family of the noble ruling class. They had a large steak in the city and in the technology that the city produced. He was taught by the finest teachers money could buy. He went to only the best schools from a young age. He was expected to perform greatness at every turn. It was a sheltered life.
  
  Yet it was at its core a boring life. For he had anything he wanted with a simple command. That was as long as he kept in line. He was a great student of all things for it was his destiny to take over as the head of his family when his father passed, which meant a life of study and rigorous training. He not only needed to have a sharp mind but also a well trained body. He would find many enemies a the head of this family.
  
  So it was that he lived in this life. He had friends at school and loves of a boy his age. But with all good things they would not last. For after a time a truth was revealed. He had abilities that could not be explained. Even though he studied as a normal boy would it was noted that he knew things. His ability that would make him a coveted commodity, for he had the ability to build anything.
  
  All that he needed was an idea or a rough sketch of something and he had the ability to build it. Not only that but he seemed not only able to know technology but he also seemed to have the ability to talk to it. As if to him it was not just metal and cold lifeless material. To him it was alive an element of its own as you will. An element for which he could manipulate at will. This is what gave him the ability to create and build as he willed.
  
  Though this would have been a great gift especially in a city such as the one he was born into. But as one could assume this power was something not to be trifled with. Which only added to the trouble that he was not the only one who had such a gift many others of his age shared this gift. It was something that seemed to be a byproduct of this city and the times. After many generations of such technology driven crafts and lifestyle, it would seem that the children and a sparse few adults gained such abilities.
  
  This was something that the current regime obviously feared. For this type of power made these children so powerful that if given the chance they could easily dethrone the current power structure and make themselves leaders of the city if not the world. Thus even with his parent’s great status and power he was taken and placed in a camp much like anyone found to have this ability.
  
  The camp was more than just a place to keep these people. It was also a place where they were studied. The leaders of the city wanted to figure out how they got there gifts and if they too could learn how to harness such a power. However the methods in which were used to study these children was not only cruel but down right inhumane.
  
  Which meant a problem as his parents visited him often. So it was that he became exempt from the study. So he was simply placed in solitary with nothing more than books. The room they kept him in was devoid of all technology it was basically a wooden box about three times his size with a few torches to light the room. He was kept in this place from the age of thirteen to the age of twenty.
  
  The only things that kept him sane was his visits with his parents and the books he was allowed to read. He used this to study his condition as the books he read were neither monitored nor recorded they assumed that being locked up was enough. Yet he was a smart student so he studied for those many years. Not only study but also training he kept up his rigorous training exorcises.
  
  He learned many things not only about his abilities but also the cities history. He made notes in a journal. This journal after a while began to peak the interest of the scientist for no other reason than he was the only one of the group properly educated. The other children where for the most part taken from the poorest of the society thus they had no real education due to there class and position in society at large which was sad due to there gifts.
  
  So it was after a year or two he began to write his journal in code. It was a code that did not use standard English. For one of the things he had to learn was forging languages before he was locked up. This came in handy as he could now use that to make a code far too complicated to be deciphered by the low level scientist. After time frustrated them to the point in which they eventually quit all together with trying to decipher it.
  
  After many years of study he finally made a break through. He had realized that the powers that he and the others were developing were based not in pure technology but a art much older than that. It was a adaptation of alchemy a art that had in its day started this city on the path that would eventually lead to its current incarnation. However due to the art of alchemy was also the reason the city was originally so far away from anything else. For alchemy was a feared science that dipped into the realm of magic and the dark arts this made it dangerous. Just as the recent out cropping of children were now to the current generation of power and society.
  
  It was with this knowledge that he used to make his escape. The only warning he gave was a sheet of paper with his own language written on it. He gave that sheet to his mother with much sadness he left her sight. Knowing that escaping would make him a fugitive in his own city not to mention the plan he was developing.
  
  The power of alchemy gave him an edge for when he was escorted back to the room in which they kept him. He was able to take from the guard a few scraps of cloth. Something that combined with his wooden cell allowed him to craft a very simple bomb. Which was powerful enough to blow down the door of his cell and also created enough smoke to cover his escape it was simple plan. It went off without a flaw yet now he was trapped in the facility. Something that also came to his advantage in that he had many new tools to allow for not only his own escape but also the release of all the other children who where not children any longer.
  
  After freeing not only himself but also the now adults of the camp he went about leaving the city. However first he took the adults he had freed to a small abandoned building at the edge of the city. It would not be long before they were found. So it was that he gave all his books and notes to the freed adults and a promise that he would be back to help them. With that he left hoping they would be smart enough to survive and learn what he learned. There powers gave them a great advantage but would not be enough for them to over throw the government and the powers that had placed them in the camp in the first place.
  
  So he left the city and went into hiding. He figured that due the cities reputation and there history that once he left he would not be followed. Nor would the city reveal the nature of his powers to the general world. Yet he also knew that he would be hunted for his betrayal. A large bounty was placed on his head for him to be captured alive.
  
  So it was that he fled through the woods. Using his powers to help him survive, however he knew that he would need many things in order to survive. First was a new name so it was that he thought and developed a name that he felt suited him. Nicolas Faust would be his new name. Taking the first name of Nicolas Flamel a very well known alchemist of yore and the last name of Dr. Johann Georg Faust or Dr. Faust of legend, after which he took new clothes and a new identity making much of it up as he went from town to town.
  
  Now it was that he went from town to town. Waiting the day he would feel ready to return to his town of birth and topple what ever society was still there. He knew that his brothers and sisters from the camp would be able to manage without him till then.
