Dougan is, by all standards, a regular guy. He works hard and well, sweats through the oil and grease and brings home money for himself, generally. On contrary to his warm and welcoming mannerisms, he lives alone, frequently seeking friends and company to ease his loneliness.
As a young boy, he was a very bitter, angry child. Even if it was just the little things, small things that agitated him, he would pitch a fit and never would an 'I love you' leave his mouth for the longest time. With a pothead mother and an absent father, his childhood bled into his teenage years, ruining what small relationships he cobbled together and making those who chose to stay around very regretful and distant only because of his apathetic and pessimistic outlook on life.
As an adult, living alone with a cat, his existing relationships and ambitions are unfortunately purely professional, working mostly on vehicles that need repair and consulting people about new parts and managements. His friendships are shallow, having little depth to them as he only ever approaches people in the workplace for work related reasons despite his changed outlook on life and efforts. -
