• Description

  Mystiq has most features of your average Australian Shepherd, such as the iconic Blue Merle markings. However, it is also clear from other features that she is a wolfdog. For example, her ears mainly stand upright, though they are a little more floppy towards the tips. She has a very wolf-like face, with a long muzzle and sharp teeth, as well as almond-shaped amber eyes, a well muscled neck and a low set tail that only curls up slightly at the tip. Her legs are slightly shorter than those of a wolf, coming from her Australian Shepherd mother's side. Her body in general is also fairly small.
  
  Being released into the wild for research, she has a tracking collar securely around her neck. Being a rather shy individual, she takes time to warm up to strangers - however much she yearned for companionship. She is a very gentle and nurturing female, but she can become aggressive when provoked, further proving that she does have wolf blood and instincts. Being rather intelligent, she can hunt smaller animals for herself as well as knowing when to scavenge if needed. Being a rather young adult, she is still a very curious character, who will investigate anything that may intrigue her interest.

• Biography

  Having been born amongst humans, it was clear that Mystiq was different from her other wolfdog siblings. She had never really enjoyed her puphood with the humans, and there was always a constant longing to leave this rural place and live wildly. It was like nature was calling her out there, but with every attempt to escape, she would always get caught. She and her siblings were bred to make an even more intelligent sheep dog with remarkable eyesight, an acute sense of smell, amazing hearing and excellent memory. Further into her life, it was shown that the plan had worked and she and her siblings had excellent speed and endurance, making for the perfect sheep dog. Mystiq grew to become intelligent and fast, with amazing senses and a good memory.
  
  One day, the female had been pushed to the point of lashing out at her owners, contradicting her usually friendly personality. She was sent away, and it was planned for her to be euthanised, but one man had a different plan. A tracking collar was put around her neck and she was taken out into the wild, far from human civilisation. She was released there, and left to fend for herself. They wanted to see if a wolf/Australian Shepherd mix could survive in the wild, perhaps due to her intelligence and refined senses. They also wanted to see if she would get along with local wolf populations, and even if she would be accepted as one of their own.
  
  So far, Mystiq is doing well! She can hunt down smaller animals for herself, and - if that doesn't work - her intelligence and speed allows her to quickly scavenge from left over meals. She tends to stay away from packs if possible, knowing that - with her smaller size and more dog-like features - she would be risking her health and safety. Though, with her never-ending curiosity and longing for companionship, it is getting harder and harder for the wolfdog to ignore each opportunity...
