• Biography

  Background:
  Shifters? They look like humans, but turn into animals. Forms depend on a wide range of things from gene history, to habitat, or even a soul so strong it demands shape. It takes a great deal of control to keep shape, most animalistic urges can make them turn; Hunger, self preservation, mating. Even emotions could trigger it; Anger, possessiveness, fear. The shifters are now monitored and kept in check by a collar. The collar has technology imbedded in its thick leathery core that keeps aggressive behavior at bay. As infants, the shifters are fitted with a special collar to help suppress their inner beast until they have reached the age of maturity, where the collar would then be removed so that the matured shifters may proceed through the trials of taming his/her other half. This method is used due to the grueling methods used to control their beasts, which require both physical and mental strength and stability. Should a shifter not be of age, the removal of the collar would transition into a violent shift and a rampaging, untamed animal.
