• Backstory

  Vince Preston Scott was born on the island Santanillas in 1683. His father abandon the family at Vince's birth. Vince's mother, Grace, raised the boy alone. She was a farmer who gained little pay. At the young age of nine, Vince tried to help the family by becoming a blacksmiths apprentice. At the age of thirteen, Vince was appointed full blacksmith. Soon he could afford a larger home for his mother and he bought her gifts. Then when Vince was sixteen, a party of pirates pillaged his island. His mother was killed in the meyhem. Vince was held captive aboard the Revenge for two months before transported to Nasau, Cuba. While in Nasau, Vince was recruited by a captain named Bowen aboard the King's Ace. Vince quickly grew in ranks due to his survival skills and became the First Mate at the age of eighteen. Bowen and Vince became very close and soon Bowen called Vince,"the son he'd never had".
