• The Witch

  As a child, she was raised in a non-magical household, even though her parents knew of her special abilities. Her family owned an estate and were very wealthy, hosting parties often. They did not want to acknowledge that their eldest daughter dabbled in possible dark magic, and whenever they caught Amelia testing it out, they usually punished her by throwing Amelia into the basement and left her locked in there for a few days. The staff was changed every month for the fear of them finding out.
  
  At the age of fifteen, she became extremely curious, unsatisfied with the whimsical children's tales of magic. She constantly pestered her parents about it, until one day she went silent. Amelia did not speak to them for three months, for she had found a grimoire and was secretly teaching herself spells. She recklessly used one on an ebony statue of a elephant, making it dance playfully. Her parents were right around the corner when this occured, and she was discovered. This only made them furious, and caused them to completely bolt her room shut with her inside it. She was fed a diet of bread, cheese, and water, thinning her frame out. In a year, Amelia mastered a spell that could open a dimensional portal that lead to another a short distance away. She crammed a backpack with her things and cast this spell, escaping out of her prison to the other side of the estate. Without a driver's license, she hopped aboard a bus to her aunt's house.
  
  She realized that her aunt Magdalena was actually a witch as well, and her uncle a warlock, but Magdalena had performed a complicated ritual that granted her immortality, outliving her husband. Magdalena taught her in the elemental magics, always making sure to remind her only use the dark arts in the most desperate of times. Her aunt then handed Amelia's tutoring to the Great Mages. They were seven unique witches and warlocks that used their type of magic in the purest form, making each of them the strongest of magic-kind. This lead to Amelia's ability to handle all elements easily, aside from Pure Magic.
