  • Mannerisms: Such a perfect combination of masculine and feminine mannerisms that anything that discriminates between the two would give her a considerable amount of grief. She is taken to subconsciously touching and rubbing her face and neck in a variety of situations, and intentionally developed the habit of combing her fingers through her hair with the end of looking very dashing and attractive. While she smokes occasionally, the habit pops up the most when doing the most decidedly inhuman things.

• Main Abilities, Explained

  Empathy - Angerona has a "sixth sense" for literally feeling what other people feel; from emotions, to sensations, to the intentions underpinning thoughts. And like any other sense, it can be overwhelmed (for instance, the anger filling a room during a heated argument creates a sensation not unlike drowning).
  Additionally, she can "take" what someone's feeling (at the cost of having to feel whatever it is herself); "give" someone what she's feeling; and form a temporary empathic link, where she and the other person share emotions and sensations.
  This is an ability she had in a mild form as a human, that was amplified when she attained demonhood.
  
  Empathic Healing - As an unexpected extension of her empathic power, she can take on the physical wounds of another. While she doesn't have a superhuman healing factor to make up for this, she is a demon, and can't actually die from bodily injury. It still sucks, though.
  
  Kinetic Energy-Leeching Aura - Desire demons are physically the weakest of the demons, and have ways to make up for it. This is one of them.
  Basically, Angerona is surrounded at all times by a 2' wide heat aura that leeches off kinetic energy from whatever passes within. This translates into punches thrown at her losing their momentum before they reach her (her would-be attackers can often be heard saying: "It's like punching sand?!").
  As the aura leeches kinetic energy, it stores it, and steadily increases in temperature. Angerona can use the stored energy for a variety of purposes; the most simple being adding extra power to her own punches (if she should so choose to).
  
  Shapeshifting - While all demons have some measure of shapeshifting ability, desire demons in particular have the greatest flexibility in this area.
  Angerona can literally look like anyone and anything that pleases her, and using the Lore of Humanity to see into the hearts of mortals, can be "everyone's type." She's not concerned with being everything to everyone, though, and just prefers being take-it-or-leave-it Angerona.
  Instead, Angerona turns this ability to manifesting horrific demonic visages whenever it suits her.
  
  Compulsion - As Rosenrot is her patron, Angerona can use a version of the greater demon's "Would you kindly." While Angerona doesn't need to say the phrase to use the ability, her eyes glow a very striking shade of blue whenever she does, making it very obvious to the common observer that she's doing something supernatural.
  
  Languages - Via the Lore of Humanity, Angerona can understand and speak all mortal tongues.
  
  Mild Fire Manifestation - Via the Lore of the Flame, Angerona has some small control over fire; able to manifest, manipulate, and even become it (when used in conjunction with her shapeshifting). She's not the best at it, however, and usually has to rely on some gimmick or cheat to aid her (example: shapeshifting her wrists into small flamethrowers).
  She's quite adept at snapping her fingers to manifest a small flame to light cigarettes, however.

• Appearance

  Angerona is a combination of masculine and feminine traits. As a shapeshifter, she can choose how she appears to others, but typically gravitates to the same androgynous, yet decidedly female-coded form. This form is as close as she can get to her original human body, with some exceptions for personal comfort. It's dark and olive, with a short mess of brown hair, and kind brown eyes; all very similar in shade
  Her face is oval-shaped, with a well-defined jawline, and large sleepy eyes. Her mouth is always hinting at a smile.
  Her skin is heavily tattooed all over with a dark, red-brown ink; not unlike the color of henna. There are inked outlines of anemones covering the backs of her hands, that lead down her wrists--and many fantastic, mythological monsters beyond. The most impressive piece is a full back tattoo of a beautiful greek woman with a serpentine lower body, orbited by various beasts (a lion, a bull, etc.). There is a marigold the size of a silver dollar tattooed behind her right ear, memorializing the intense mental anguish that once caused her to relinquish her humanity.
  
  In modern settings Angerona's hair is various shades of dark purple and maroon, and partially shaved on the right side; making the marigold tattoo more prominent. She's very into fashion, and is usually stylishly dressed no matter the occasion; alternating between dresses and suit combos and leather jackets. Always has a pair of sunglasses with her, and smokes clove.
  
  In more medieval settings she's a brunette, and still fashionable to a fault. Keeps a stack of rolling paper and a tin of clove on her at all times.

• Description

  The Dry Inaccessible Description
  Before she was a demon, Angerona was human. For demons in her reality, this is highly uncommon, and she is among a handful who weren't always of that persuasion. This, as an unfortunate result, has made her something of an outsider. Not because she's unwelcome, no-- quite the contrary, in fact. Attaining demonic status alone despite her "disability" was enough to earn the acceptance of her new kin, and beyond that, she's well-liked by most. In truth, true demons are sociopathic alien minds, neither good nor evil, with no frame of reference for human morality or emotion. Angerona, on the other hand, has perspective afforded to her from her past mortal life, and as a result finds her kins' behavior frequently disquieting. As such, she rarely feels comfortable around her own; preferring instead to wander the mortal coil within the familiar confines of her original material form.
  
  The Accessible Description
  Believe it or not, Angerona isn't unhappy about being a demon. There are some parts she'd rather not indulge in, but she's otherwise accepted what she is, and is making the most of her situation.
  
  Angerona feels comfortable basically as any version of herself that could exist, but usually prefers the familiar female-coded version she lived as when she was human. Thus, that's how she introduces herself, and that's how she refers to herself.
  
  Angerona is the type of person who can basically get along with anyone when given the chance. Ironically, though, she's not a very extroverted individual, and prefers smaller, more intimate settings (although if she's familiar with almost everyone involved, big groups aren't much of an issue for her).
  Her chosen form has "resting nice face," and she very rarely seems anything other than approachable. In fact, strangers often mistake her for smiling at them, when she's focused on something else entirely.
  
  Angerona is in the patronage and employ of the greater demon Rosenrot. While she has a lot of freedom to do as she pleases now that she's attained her "demon license," as it were; the terms of their deal require her to perform jobs for Rosenrot every once and a while. These usually take the form of commissions, the brokering of contracts, and tempting hearts and minds. Normal desire demon stuff.
  As a consequence of being in Rosenrot's employ, she has a geass that prevents her from lying directly to questions (if she does, her tongue will turn to ashes in her mouth, and she'll be mute for all eternity). She'll often lie aggressively about herself before people get the chance to ask questions. That's the only thing she ever lies about, however.

• Biography

  Before she was Angerona, she was a human woman who fell on hard times. The details of this mortal's life are unimportant (although Angerona often thinks on her kindly), only up until she was paid a visit by a kind demon by the name of Rosenrot. Rosenrot offered her a deal that she was in no position to refuse, and she naturally accepted.
  The stipulations of this deal stripped Angerona of her humanity, and set her on the path to attaining demonhood; in much the same way Rosenrot once had. Still unsure as to what Rosenrot's true plans were for her, Angerona took on her new role with more than a little trepidation. Even so, she rose to the occasion beautifully. Freed from the mortal concerns that had once driven her to stagnation, she had full access to her true natural talent and abilities. Her last act before attaining full demonhood was stealing the name of an ancient, forgotten goddess who eased the pain and woes of humanity.
  
  During and after her ascent to demonhood, Angerona spent a number of years traveling between plains of existence. With infinite time to spare, she's taken up numerous scholarly pursuits, and accumulated an impressive familiarity with a wide range of subjects many mortals would never be able to achieve within their lifetimes.
