  • Description

    Chester spends most of his time in his clerical robes, made of richly embroidered cotton. The robes are white, and the embroidered patterns are ivory mixed with fine silver wire. His robes don't hold stains, and will be free of dust with only a shake.

    Chester's fur is glass-like due to his Polar bear lineage, but brown from the Sun bear side as well. His fur resembles strands of smoked glass when examined up close. Chester also has a foot-long tongue from his Sun bear ancestry.

    Chester's only main scar is a fractal patterned electrical burn from a spell-casting ghost. it is centered on his left breast with only a tendril that creeps up on his neck that can be seen when he's wearing his robes. There is a slightly smaller scar on his back from the same burn. He has no other scars due to his autonomous healing ability.

    Chester stands over seven feet tall, but is not threatening unless provoked. He is a bear of peace and goodwill.

  • Biography

    Chester was born Emmanuel Malachi Rophe over a century ago. Emmanuel Rophe was accepted into the Argent Order at 16, to become a priest and healer. sometime in his 20's, Rophe became enthralled with necromancy, and began to make a name for himself stealing souls to fuel his life and his power. Sometime about 20 years ago, he procured a botched ritual spell from someone close to one of his previous victims. The spell backfired and Rophe's memory was erased, and Chester Reming came to be in his stead. The spell was supposed to wipe Rophe completely, but he had prepared a magic duplicate of himself in case he was killed. The duplicate failed as he was entering it, and the original Rophe was left in limbo, not gone, but a ghost that never died.

    Chester wandered for years, not knowing who or what he was. He had no control over his powers, and feared them. He had spent his life running, both from family of victims seeking revenge, and enemies seeking to topple his former self. With the aid of a young rabbit, he was able to regain his memories, full control of his powers, and turn them to the forces of good. His affection towards this rabbit grew, and he now calls her his mate, and proposed to her, they are currently planning the wedding. She recently gave birth to their son and daughter, Maurice Fredrick and Soliloquy.

    Due to the manner that Rophe took souls, Chester is 120 years old, but is only 25 physically. It is unknown how long he will live before he dies of natural causes, or if he will die of age at all.
