• IT'S WHO WE ARE

  He began among his people, a tribe who sought solace in the grace of the moonlight. Life was simple as he trained in the art of healing with his father.
  
  During adolescence, his mind crumbled, thoughts of destruction echoing throughout. His antics were easy to mask at first, with the use of his healing arts. Though he found during his defense training he relished the time when he was struck and injured. But still, it remained hidden. Such thoughts were vile, a sign he was rejecting the village's teachings. To the moon he gave his offerings for inner peace, just as he was taught.
  
  But there was no call.
  
  One night, his demons returned; in his mind, all he saw was fire. He ran as far as he could, anywhere where he could hide such a blaze in the darkness. He felt the flames embrace seer through him, and the world went dark.
  
  He was discovered the next morning. For accepting the blessing of the sun, he was banished.
  
  His demons silenced.
  
  But where in the world was there to go?
