The Witch's House

The brick house can be found in almost any small town near the woods in out-of-the-way places. Everyone knows it belongs to a witch. The house is a small two-story brick building. The front door is wooden and it has large square windows with decretive iron bars on the outside and lacy white curtains on the inside. The front room which is filled with couches and chairs and has a large television in it. The front room can partly be seen when the front door is left open during the warmer months. The smoke from the chimney suggests there may be a kitchen or at least a fireplace somewhere inside and most assume there are beds for the lost children that the owner of the house often takes in.

The person who owns the brick house is a woman of human appearance. It is hard to say how old she really is, and impolite to ask. Her skin is clear and her eyes are dark brown just like her hair. She is a kindhearted woman and often takes orphans into her home. Some say she is a witch because she looks so young yet seems to have been living in the same little house for years and years. There's never been any complaint about her using any sort of magic against anyone, though some of the children she takes in can be a bit ... strange so it is unlikely that she is an evil sort of witch. She usually is addressed as Misstress, The Witch, or Jane, the last of which being, her name. She has a servant named Giovanni and a cat named Neko (who are really the same person) because Neko is not a very proper name for a young man. Jane has in recent years become the guardian of a little girl named Emily. Emily died many years ago. Emily was a ghost when she came to live with Jane.

Jane sells magical potions and does a little light magic here and there to help her community and make chores easier on herself. She routinely takes in orphaned or lost children for short periods of time and looks after them until they are adopted or found. Her child-eating cat demon does not like sharing her attention with the children nor that he is not allowed to boss them around or eat them.
