Appearance
Tall for an asura, Jezza is light-skinned with darker patches surrounding her pale grey-green eyes. The pale grey that acts as the base is uniform, and the darker color fades as it reaches her hair line.
Her hair, once long and pale white, is cropped short and stained a pink-peach, which she later streaked with subtle hints of gold. On the left side, behind her ear, there is a longer strand, almost a padawan braid, tied with a series of gold bands.
Speaking on ears, hers are rather short, dappled, and tapered near the ends. They are soft, mainly due to Jezza's obsession with keeping her appearance in line, and she has a number of piercings on each side, that seem to change daily.
Jezza is slender, seemingly faster than she is stronger, though this is an asura who has quite the swing compared to her twig thin build. Constant training has graced Jezza with the subtle strength of a gymnast.
Her battle armor is generally heavier, and despite her rather tomboyish behavior, Jezza's armor is white, black and pink. For priory business, Jezza will don the armor and colors of her Order, and when off duty she tends to dress rather simply. She is almost never without her trademark scarf and glasses.
Weapons wise, Jezza is almost always seen with a sword and shield, great sword, or, more recently, bow or staff.
Behavior
Like many asura, Jezza is a brilliant mind, though hers strays mostly in the history direction, both military and not. She is a strategist, always planning and looking for ways to overcome obstacles.
If there is a chance she can't find one, then Jezza gets creative, having no qualms with thinking outside the box.
This is an asura who is analytical, but also holds a grand sense of adventure. Personal freedom is something she thrives on, and Jezza is always learning or discovering new things.
Due to familial history, Jezza very rarely speaks of her past, and almost never sees her brother, save for when they are required to.
She has a competitive streak, and Jezza tends to enjoy being the center of attention, though she does know when to take a step back and let others take the lead.
She is an extremely organized individual and makes a point to keep her labs and quarters spotless. When she is stressed or annoyed, she will clean and organize, wether it's her own desk, or someone else's.
History/Timeline
•Birth - Jezza and her brother Caxx were born to Cryptobotanist Raaja and Peacekeeper Arekk, a pair of Dynamic's alumni, on the 45th day of the Season of Zephyr. At the time of their birth, Arekk had been officially dead for two weeks, killed by the Inquest in an attack on the Peacekeeper Labs.
•Childhood - As per custom, Jezza and Caxx both worked in their mother's Krewe, The Cryptobotanical Society. Raaja took her son on as her apprentice, leaving her daughter to be passed around from one krewemember to the next. This is the main reason Jezza has a strained opinion of family.
•College Years - At the human equivalent of 14, Jezza took the entrance exam to study with the College of Statics, choosing them for their analytical thinking and cautious outlook. She took a wide range of courses, from Applied Warp-Fusion Constructs to Applied Research Development and Environmental Conditioning.
During her third year, Jezza met Durzak, a fellow student, and they became quite close, soon falling into a more intimate relationship. Sharing a common skill in sword work, the pair trained together for a time, though almost two years into the relationship, Durzak shared his desire to join the Inquest, and Jezza cut the relationship short (later, she would meet him again, and Durzak would find himself at the end of a sword). On this specific evening, Jezza found herself in a small bar, where she learned that humans make for an amusing distraction and brilliant one-night stands. She stayed in contact with the human, Tobias Ravine, and became good friends with him through a shared interest in history.
Studying with the College of Statics for almost six years, Jezza graduated her class with the highest of honors, and with a number of skills under her belt: Advanced Cryptology and Language, Historical Tactics and Strategies, History of The Ancient World, Theoretical Interrogation, and Internal Relations, with minors in Survivalist Tactics and Combat Training.
Upon Graduation, she receives a letter from Caxx, which was ignored.
•After Graduation - Rather than join or start a Krewe, Jezza begins work on a device that can translate and decipher ancient and forgotten languages. Wanting to keep the project a secret, she ventures out of the Asuran city and obtains a small lab in the human settlement of Wizard's Keep, in Kessex Hills. Her friend Tobias helped her obtain the home.
After a number of failed attempts, she scraps the design for a new machine, a device that takes a scan of an areas magical residue and creates a holographic image of what it once looked like (i.e., portions of old lions arch would show buildings whole in a combination of tangible pieces and hologram.)
For almost a year, she works on refining the device and perfecting her design, visiting Lion's Arch and its surrounding areas to test it. It was during these trips that Jezza met Rhion, a drop-out from Dynamics. What started out as friends, became Jezza's first real relationship since Durzak's betrayal.
At Rhion's insistence, they returned to Rata Sum and presented the device - called the Hologram Reconstruction Device - to the council and entered the Snaff Savant Prize Competition. Her device won, despite the fact that she had no Krewe, and the prize and title kindled a love for inventing and being in the spotlight.
She and Rhion parted ways for a time, and Jezza reconnected with a professor from her college days, joining a history-minded Krewe that he was leader of. With the help of her professor, Luekk, and her team of researchers, Jezza quickly rose through the ranks, and re-began work on her language device, this time completing the project and using it to uncover a message involving the first asura and their escape from Primordeus.
After uncovering this information, she is approached by Durmand's Priory, who offer her a position in their ranks. Jezza ultimately refuses, saying she has more to learn before she can leave her Krewe, and the Priory accepts that answer, saying when she feels she is ready, the Priory will take her in.
•Kyzrakk Golemancer Team - Wishing to expand her knowledge-base, Jezza left Luekk's Krewe and joined the new golem-krewe, Kyzrakk, who combine golem fighting with electricity. With Jezza's experience in older techniques, and the Krewe's brilliant fighters, they rose in the ranks and became one of the top ranking Krewes. During a training accident in the Lab's arena, Jezza was struck by lightning and though she survived, she bears the scars from the accident.
After her time in the hospital, Jezza decided to take time off to recover, leaving Rata Sum and visiting the other cities. She met new individuals and reconnected with old friends (Spent quite a bit of time with Rhion, at his home in the Grove, and had a spat with Durzak, ultimately killing the now high-ranking Inquest agent). During her time in the Black Citadel, Jezza met Priory Historian, Haati Windspire. They shared stories, and Jezza showed her how her inventions worked, and the pair spent a lot of time working on various projects before Jezza was called back to Rata Sum.
•Family Ties - Caxx called her back, and reluctantly, Jezza returned home to answer the summons. Her twin had taken over Raaja's lab and had found a number of her belongings. Jezza agreed to meet and they met in their birth-home. Jezza was not surprised to see the greenhouses turned into alchemy labs.
Caxx and Jezza spoke for a while, and Caxx gave his sister a number of the things found, mostly things belonging to their father. Later, Jezza was walking through the lab, and she was watching one of the interns work. He made a mistake and caused a bit of the magically amplified chemical to splash onto Jezza.
This incident caused a number of burns across her shoulders, and later turned her hair a bright pink (after burning most of it off).
Jezza left Rata Sum, for good this time, and she went to the Priory, taking their offer. She was put in charge of a small team, and Jezza began her research of dead languages.
•Durmand's Priory - A few months into her work, Jezza met Tsarra, a researcher who had dedicated her life to the study of Orr. Tsarra and Jezza became close friends, and after a number of months working together, Jezza proposed a contract to build a lab together. Tsarra agreed, and they started an inter-race Krewe, using Jezza's inventions and Tsarra's knowledge of the sunken cities of Orr.
Their Krewe was called The New Historical Orrian Society, and made up of the Sylvari Mesmer Ingwe, the Charr engineer Valka Evertide, Elementalist Russ Grimjaw, Asura Revenant Tekk, and the Norn Necromancer Arin Kestralsdottir.
Tsarra shared with Jezza that she was biologically a male, but felt that she was female in spirit, and Jezza found that she did not care, for she loved Tsarra no mater the body, and they fit well together.
The rest of the Krewe was aware of their leaders relationship, after Ingwe made the mistake of accidentally walking into Jezza's office one evening.
For one, blissful year, things were looking up for Jezza. She was happy.
And that ended during an outing deep into Orr. Jezza, Russ, and Tsarra had gone on a scouting mission, and were attacked. In an attempt to save Jezza's life, Tsarra fell.
Jezza carried her body back to the priory, where Tsarra was buried as a scholar.
For months, Jezza wouldn't leave her lover's grave. She would sit in silence, or talk as if Tsarra could hear her, and Jezza locked herself away. It wasn't until Haati forced her from her depression, and out of the isolation that she had fallen into that Jezza allowed herself to realize the gift that Tsarra had given her.
Jezza gave the running of the Krewe to Ingwe and Russ, and returned to her home in Kessex Hills.
•Here and Now - Currently, Jezza is working out of The Reach, studying human texts and the six gods. She still owns her home in Kessex Hills, and visits there often, and she meets up with Rhion occasionally.
On the anniversary of Tsarra's death, Jezza always returns to the Priory Keep, and will usually leave a bouquet of forget-me-nots, and daisies, as they were Tsarra's favorite flowers.
Relationships
Jezza's ability to form relationships depends on the individual. She doesn't trust blood family, yet puts her entire faith in complete strangers. She falls in love easily, and has had her heart broken a number of times.

My mother acted like I was a plague. My twin was her main concern. He was planned. I was just an unwanted surprise. She birthed me and that's it. She did not raise me.

In another time, perhaps Caxx and I could have been closer... As it was, he was Raaja's golden child where I was thrown to the wolves, per-say. He and I have had a number of interactions that have ended badly, and I no longer consider him a brother of mine.
Durzak / Asura Warrior / Male / Ex-Lover
What can I say, he made me feel like I mattered. We became close, be mates, even, and when he asked me to join the inquest with him, I snapped a bit.
Tobias Ravine / Human Thief / Male / Close Friend.
After Durzak's betrayal, I admit I kinda went off the deep end... Got a bit drunk, I might have seduced a human, but he was cute and by the alchemy was he good with his fingers. I have his name and place of residence kept somewhere, courtesy of him, if I'd ever like a repeat of the night. We've stayed in relative contact as friends, not lovers. He helped me find my house in Kessex Hills.
Rhion / Asura Guardian / Male / Close Friend and Lover
I met Rhion by chance. During one of my jaunts into Lion's Arch, he helped me set up an experiment, and we've been close ever since. After Durzak, he was my second love, and it hurt when we decided to call off our relationship, though it was for the best.
Luekk / Asura Mesmer / Female / Professor and Kreweleader
My professor and Kreweleader was as eccentric as a Sylvari sometimes, but brilliant. She knew exactly how to help me rebuild my original invention. I was saddened to hear of her death, as the historical scene lost a valuable member.
Haati Windspire / Charr Guardian / Female / Acquaintance
A commander in her own right, Haati is someone I am glad to call a friend. Not as brilliant as me, of course, but she knows her history when it comes to her people. I am always going to her for advice and the like.
Tsarra / Asura Mesmer / Female (mtf) / Lover, joint Krewe leader of The New Historical Orrian Society.
Tsarra, my beautiful Tsarra, how I miss you... Everything, it seems, reminds me of you, and I can't wait for the day when we are reunited in the Eternal Alchemy... For now, I am content to write you letters, and tell you of the gift you so graciously gave me.
Ingwe / Sylvari Elementalist / Genderfluid / NHOS
A prickly one, Ingwe is.. I can't decide whether or not they like me, and while it doesn't matter, it's nice to know. They are capable and I know I did well to leave my Krewe in their hands.
Valka Evertide / Charr Engineer / Female / NHOS
Strong willed and enthusiastic are the two words I'd use to describe Valka. She is a true friend, and knows how to handle a rifle.
Russ Grimjaw / Charr Elementalist / Male / NHOS
Another of the krewemember a Tsarra found, Russ is a trustworthy fellow. He and Valka are a bit at odds at times, being from differing Legions, but that's natural. I like him a lot, and hope he stays with our Krewe.
Tekk / Asura Revenant / Male / NHOS
We seem to enjoy the outcasts, as Tekk is a dropout of Synergetics and Dynamics. He's smart though, and I'm happy to give him a place in my Krewe. He's like a little brother to me.
Arin Kestralsdottir / Norn Necromancer / Female / NHOS
Silent and a bit unnerving, Arin is the last member of our Krewe. She is good at her work, and a capable researcher, if not somewhat scary.

Hobbies/Talents
One talent that most don't know about Jezza is her musical ability. She enjoys playing the flute, as well as singing. While her soft soprano voice is better suited for softer songs, she enjoys sea shanties and all sorts of song.
She enjoys dancing as well, and is always up for a song or dance with someone, even a stranger.
Another of Jezza's unusual hobbies is reading human plays and poetry, and reciting them.
