Blood, innocent blood?
The beating hearts that refuse to lose hope, he would stoke their fires; he would breathe a future into their minds, the trapped beasts that look to him for a leader. But he was born into this, not chosen. There had been peace for thousands of years... why now were his hands forced, why now would there be war?
Why?
One by one, they fell, then fell a second time from life. This man adored children. Selfishly, he would wish they stopped coming. His people would cheer for their fallen bodies, what was he doing to them? What cost was hope?
He would again and again make a rousing act, lying into ears of many, refusing to let panic take hold, but secretly wishing for their cage to never open.
Selfish.
His attacks are usually easy enough to dodge.
He doesn't want to do this.
He can't even end this long nightmare, and give the people what they have been striving towards for their entire lives.
