• Background Story

  Born May 18th 1877 in Rome, Italy, Michaelangelo lived a comfortable childhood on the coast of the Mediterranean sea with his parents, Bianka and Giovanni. Being a mute, somber, and confrontational young boy he spent much of his time observing others and fishing with his father. He spoke rarely and remained selectively mute for most of his childhood and adolescence. He did not interact with others well because of this, and made few--if any--real friendships of value.
  
  He left home in 1894 on a ship to Brighton, England where he found work as a deckhand and met a woman named Chai, who became his first boss and genuine friend. Chai became his mentor, confidante, and guide in England, and encouraged him to pursue school; however, Michael gained an interest in various forms of martial arts and left the docks to compete full time, gradually moving to more illegal forms of the sport and various other illicit work. As Michaels name grew notorious and he strayed further away from Chai, much to her disappointment.
  
  In 1900, Chai fell ill and quietly passed away--- urging Michael to move to London and quit his fighting career in pursuit of a formal education. He learned English, academic math, and several sciences-- which he took great interest in. He graduated in 1908 with a degree in Law and passed the Bar exam in the same year.
  
  Michael emigrated to New York in 1910, where he faced difficulties racially, culturally, and economically; however, he found work in the growing market of illegal trade. Though he formed few friendships, he found a massive network of opportunity-- which he used to begin his own illegal racket. By 1918, Michael secretly controlled the entire economic territory of Manhattan and its fringe outliers. One year later he was approached by The Pastors of Unai-- a secret committee of djinn and men dedicated to enacting propositions, reformations, and monitoring social relations between the two races. He joined without a second thought.
  
  In 1920 he formed a segregated community for the djinn and acted as ambassador, law, leader, and benefactor. In this time he formed an accord with another djinn named Johnathan Masters, who became his confidante and advisor-- they have been close friends since.

• Ongoing Story

  It is currently 1932, the Great Depression is in full swing and racial tensions are at an all time high; most notably between the Djinn and humans, who have a speckled history of conflict and share a mutual distrust.
  
  Michaelangelo is at the top of the political and socio-economic ladder and is feverishly searching for ways to alleviate the effects of the Great Depression on a national level while keeping his business afloat. He aspires to become the figurehead of The Pastors of Unai despite the various opposition and works endlessly on keeping control of the city, much to Masters objection.
